My husband loved this as a birthday present .Real value for money can not wait to see them grow .

There is no doubt that the kit is really nice and would make a great gift. The box and pots are nice, and the book is bright and interesting. However despite following the instructions to the letter, only one type of tree actually grew. We ended up with about 6 pine, but nothing else. In hindsight we probably should have returned the kit, as it was clear from The float test that over half the seeds were duds, but my daughter insisted we give them a chance….. wish we hadn’t now. Given that one type is doing so well, we know we did everything right. It’s just a shame the quality control is clearly lacking on the seeds.

Unfortunately every single seed except one did not sprout. The only one that did decided to grow the wrong way (the stem pushed the seed above the gravel).

Of all the seeds, only the black pine germinated, followed the complicated instructions to the letter but once they've grown.... There's not really instructions on maintaining them, or when to repot.... Clueless

Only a couple of the seeds germinated so far which to be honest is more than I expected so I guess that’s good - maybe the rest will eventually and I just need to be more patient.

Bought for my husband and he's really enjoyed the process of planting these. Very long winded but hopefully will be worth it in the end
