I am all in for trying bar shampoo and conditioner.Ok, so I am not a spring chicken anymore, but still think I should be able to get what my hair needs.I wondered if I had bought the wrong pair of shampoo and conditioner, found better info after I followed the link to the manufacturers store, thought to write the company to see if I had made an error, my choice was correct.I purchased the cedarwood for weak and thinning hair,Tried to love it but it just won’t do. I want more natural ingredients, that part was ok, and so was the nice lather for the shampoo, the conditioner did its job. BUT I thought erroneously it might give more body or texture or something, anything to my hair. I have spent the day yesterday trying to keep, my longish hair braided - it seems more thin, and is so slick it is just annoying, way worse than previous shampoos - the braid keeps coming undone!And, I am afraid whatever is in the product does not agree with my scalp - seems itchy, did not calm my scalp.I will keep looking. The concept of bar soap is great, just not the “cedar” for me!

On the plus side, the shampoo and conditioner do work well for cleaning and conditioning. BUT, I ordered the Cedarwood starter set. On their website it says that the fragrance should be cedarwood, lemon, jasmine and has almond oil which also has a fragrance. When I went back to my order on Amazon it says Cedarwood is Orange and Ylang Ylang. Which is not what I wanted, but I didn't read the full description on Amazon just on the Liv/natural store link/website. I was finishing up another brand, so when I received them, I just unpacked them, put them in their tins and didn't keep the box. I don't know for sure if they actually sent what I ordered or if I received an unscented set. It seemed there was a little fragrance the first couple times I used it, but there is nothing now.

I was skeptical that the shampoo bar would replace 2-3 bottles of shampoo, but they are spot on! I barely touched the bar to my head and got a rich lather quickly. I purchased the Sandalwood scent and it is very light. I wouldn’t mind it being WAY stronger. The conditioning bar is really nice as well. I’m very happy with my purchase.

I read about this on a van life blog and took a chance. I have to admit I was skeptical— especially because I have a bit of in my graying hair. Well no need to worry. It only took a little bit of shampoo and conditioner to wash my long hair and left it silky smooth and manageable!!! Highly recommend!

I really had high hopes for this item but have to be honest that I was less than impressed. The smell was old and stale and the way my hair felt after was yucky. It also did NOT remove the campfire smell from my hair before I left the campground for work. I know that the portability was great, but I really expected more for the amount of money I spent.
