Very bright
My hair is naturally dark and I have some gray/silver. It's bleached on top and natural on bottom. I keep it short. Also, my hair is baby fine/soft to start with. Bleaching it multiple times has made it a very tiny bit more coarse but it's overall still super soft and so I don't want to speak about if the shampoo makes my hair soft simply because my hair is already soft. I bought and have used both the lavender and the hot pink. The lavender is very light. Several washes with the lavender in a row, leaving it on in the shower for 10 minutes or more results in maybe a light colored to medium purple at the most. Now, the lavender washes out very quickly. Like, after using it for a week straight, all I'd have to do is wash my hair 2 or 3 times with regular shampoo (that's 2 or 3 times in the same shower, not over 2 or 3 days) and it would be pretty much all gone. And that's fine. Because that's what I bought these shampoos for. Now, the hot pink...that's a different story. One wash with hot pink and I got...a very bright, very much hot pink color. Again, that's fine. It's just what I was going for. I washed with the pink 3 or 4 days in a row to see just how dark it would get and it got very, very hot pink. Awesome! But...I have not used the color shampoo in 3 weeks and my hair is still pink. It's not washing out like the lavender did. It's not as intense a color as it was but it's definitely still very pink. Now, I don't care. But if you're looking for a pink color for a day or 2 that will wash out after a couple washes...this isn't it. I wash my hair twice every day. This color isn't coming out. It's gone from shocking, hot pink to just a pink color. Again, I don't care. I like it. But oh boy, this isn't coming out near as fast as the lavender. Now, I also bought the darker purple color but I haven't tried it yet. I'm thinking I'm going to wash with that while the pink is still in and see what it gets me but I'm over due to get it bleached and trimmed again so I'll wait until after that. It's a great color, either way. The bright, BRIGHT/intense pink was great and so is the current, faded pink. The lavender was nice too. I'm enjoying the different colors and intend to buy a couple more. There is a chemical smell but it's not near as bad as the bleach or like, normal at home hair dye. I have a severally reactive airway and asthma and it doesn't bother me. The shampoo doesn't stain the shower walls. We have Carrara marble tiles and they aren't stained. The pink does stain my hands a little when I put it on but it washes off. There is no staining at all with the lavender.

Red alert
To be honest, I was debating if I wanted to spend this value on a bottle of shampoo. This color depositing shampoo is very pigmented you won’t be disappointed. I purchased the red for brunette hair. This shampoo keeps my red hair very vibrant and it looks like it’s freshly dye and never looks dull or faded! I would recommend it. Just about all reviews were positive feedbacks as well I would agree the same! Price point is accurate with the results you’ll get from it, it’s mid to higher end. If you want to keep up with your hair, keep it nice, bright, and vibrant it is truly worth the value! Has a light pleasant fragrance not too strong of any chemicals.

The Best for Maintaining Vivid Color at Home
I absolutely love this shampoo. I wash and condition my hair every single day, so keeping salon vivid colors has always been impossible for me. This is the only product that keeps my pink looking fresh between salon visits. I use it two to three times a week on top of my highlights, and it works perfectly for maintaining my color. A little goes a long way, and the longer you leave it on before rinsing, the longer the color lasts. I have been using this for over two years and it has been fantastic. My hair stylist approves, and I get compliments on my hair all the time. It keeps my hair soft, too. I still use a conditioner after rinsing, and my hair always feels healthy and manageable. The scent is totally fine - not harsh or chemical like some dyes. The size is just right for how much you actually need to use, and it is packaged well every time I order. It does stain the tub a bit with some shades, but it comes off easily with a bleach cleaner. For the price, it is a great value compared to the cost of frequent salon visits. If you want vivid hair without the high price tag, this is the way to go.

Tourmaline for Lightened Ginger or Strawberry Hair
Hoping my use case for Tourmaline color wash will be helpful to someone. This summer I started using a heat activated lightening spray (specifically, Sunbabe) on my naturally dark blonde/light brown (level 6), virgin hair. I do this to turn my hair a ginger/strawberry color (think like Connie Britton) without having to use any dye or coloring products, by taking advantage of the fact that bleach and hair lighteners turn my hair orange on the way to blonde. The Sunbabe allows me to slowly reach the color I want over the course of 2-3 treatments, turning me a very natural looking strawberry color maybe 1-2 levels lighter than my natural color. I use facial hair bleach to bring my eyebrows to an equivalent ginger shade. I get to be a ginger/ strawberry blonde color without using any color depositing products. It looks really good on its own, but I came across this product and decided to see what would happen if I use this over the Sunbabe lightened hair. I thought it might be fun to jooj the color up temporarily with a color depositing shampoo. I tried it out last night and it really did turn up the color saturation on my hair without making it look unnatural (how many times can I say the word natural in one review?). It's the same ginger color, just amplified, more coppery (like Blake Lively) and a little shinier. As expected from the product literature, it didn't alter the color of my unlightened roots. It did vaguely change some of my white hairs, which had been exposed to Sunbabe, to a lighter strawberry color that blends better with the rest of my hair. That was a pleasant and unexpected surprise. However my white roots that were not treated with Sunbabe remained white. I don't really like the way it makes my hair feel. At first in the shower it felt soft, but once the product was thoroughly rinsed, it felt too squeaky clean. I conditioned after, but my hair still ended up feeling like I had just dyed it. I guess that's to be expected, but for whatever reason, I wasn't expecting it. It's not a dealbreaker for me and my hair, but someone with dry or processed hair might find this product on the drying side. The shampoo itself is a dark yellow brown color, which lathers into a yellowy orange lather. It did lightly stain my hands, but not my head or neck, nor the tub. I shower before bed and go to bed with a wet head, so I used an old pillowcase and white shirt to test for staining. I'm pleased to report, it did not stain the pillowcase or shirt. I can't yet speak to how long it lasts. I shampoo nightly, so I don't expect it to last long. That said, I bought it specifically because I want it to fully leave my head after a few washes, unlike Overtone which stains your hair forever. My hairdresser told me if I ever want to be blonde again, I need to not be using products that stain. That's the whole reason why I use Sunbabe to achieve the red color in the first place. I'm hoping that this product will fully rinse out over time, and won't affect my ability to go blonde in the future. The fragrance is a little strong for my taste, but it's not the worst. Might be too much for individuals with certain migraine triggers. Overall, I like this product and will use it when I want to turn up my hair color. I think it would be great for folks with ginger or strawberry blonde hair (natural or color treated). I'm report back if I have anything to add about how it washes it.

Immense & Effective Color Enhancement
Holy macorole! Had family pictures coming up in two days and my hair was turning a silver blue and my hairstylist recommended this deposit! It got my hair back to the purple it was! Very highly effective! Please leave this in for 5-7mins after shampooing with a white or clear color shampoo. Then condition it with white or clear conditioner. I used Biolage! This will stain your hands if you don’t rinse it with a shampoo or soap. Best to do this while showering. Omg I love the outcome!

GREAT AT GIVING COLOR, bad after not using :(
i have red highlights and kept using this per my hairdresser to maintain my vibrant red :) i am an asian girly btw, also half hispanic as well if that helps! i loved using this when i first got it, but HELLO. if i didn’t use this conditioner every single day, my red would immediately go away :( it kinda sucks bc this product is so expensive and really does a great job when i’m using it, but i feel it could be better if my color immediately goes away in the shower if i don’t use it once i’m so sad cuz the shampoo itself is great, but then again red is a super hard color to maintain :c

A MUST HAVE! Keeps vibrant colors from fading and keeps it looking fresh!
During quarantine I wanted to try a fun color in my hair. Why not?! I wanted a teal color, i went to my local Sally’s and bought the only semi-permanent teal dye they had. I bleached my hair, didn’t tone it even though it was pretty brassy, the lady at Sally’s told me I didn’t need to if I’m coloring it. (Come to find out online everyone recommends you do, but whatever) I posted photos documenting the whole thing. After my initial dye, the color looked very vibrant and nice, as you can see from the pics. But then, after my FIRST wash with shampoo, the color faded DRASTICALLY, as you can see in the next photo. The photo split into 3, has the original dye on the left, after 1 wash in the middle, and after 1 application of this color dye shampoo. It added a LITTLE bit of color, but not enough. The next day I showered and used this shampoo again, and noticed it was a little darker again. So I actually applied it directly after, for a 2nd time, and the color was VERY noticeable! I only dyed my hair one time, and have been using this shampoo to maintain the color. Not only does it maintain the color, it brought the deep, rich teal color BACK once it had faded! My last 2 photos are what my hair looks like now, about 3 weeks after my 1st dye, and many showers and washes later. Everyone told me I’d have to keep dying it every week or 2, but this shampoo saved me from that annoying process! **NOTE** The 1st time I used the shampoo it didn’t turn my hands blue... but the 2nd time it did and took 2 days to come off. Since then I use gloves to apply the shampoo in the shower to wet hair. I make sure it’s not dripping on my face bc I’ve also had to use rubbing alcohol to get rid of some of the blue stains on my forehead. (Came off easily with alcohol) Also, be careful not to let it sit on your shower grout, floor, tub, etc for longer than 2 secs or so. Make sure you wash it right down the drain or it could stain. I have a white shower floor, and it’s been fine for the most part. I did notice a blue ring around the drain the other day, but it’s already gone now. I would definitely recommend this product for anyone who wants to keep a rich lasting color without having to dye their hair repeatedly. I’ve even used the shampoo twice in 1 shower to make it EXTRA vibrant, and it worked. But it does make your hair dry out, so if you’re a girl or have long hair, you may want to use a color safe conditioner or something after or before... (I read conditioners can remove color but haven’t tested that out)

Keeps my hair vibrant but use the conditioner!!
Let me start by saying that I have very fine hair that I dye a natural looking copper tone. Like everyone, my color would start to fade not long after I left the salon and would turn brassy and blonde-ish. I was skeptical of purchasing this shampoo, mostly because of the price. It seemed awfully expensive with mixed reviews. I purchased the shampoo and conditioner in Fire Opal. The first time I went to use it, I was terrified. The shampoo comes out a sparkly ruby red color, which is far to fire hydrant red for what I wanted. I almost chickened out and didn’t try it, but I decided my hair was already pretty faded and I was willing to give it a shot. I left the shampoo in my hair for approximately a minute after I lathered it up. It doesn’t get super sudsy, but I could certainly tell it was in my hair. Once I rinsed that out, I moved on to the conditioner. I got another shock when I squirted some of that out, cause it comes out brown. I convinced myself I was all in at this point and used the conditioner the way I normally would, putting it mostly through the ends of my hair and just what was left on my roots. I can’t tell you how amazed I was when I dried my hair and saw my color almost restored to when I left the salon. It was vibrant and bright and it smelled amazing. The downside? It was certainly dry at the roots. It felt almost like I had coated my hair in hairspray. It LOOKED fine, but the feel was noticeable. Even my boyfriend commented on how it felt funny when I laid my head on his chest. So on attempt two, I used the conditioner on my entire scalp. When I got out of the shower, I used just a small amount of leave in conditioner (due to the fineness of my hair it gets oily fast). This did the trick, returning my hair to its normal feel, but maintaining that brilliant color. It truly worked for me and I will continue to use it to stay a bold red head!
