Can this cut through metal i own an illegally operated business breaking down cars and im currently using a corded version.

Those catalytic converters can be hard to get off. Jig Saw will cut metal but the wrong tool.

Are the 20 volt xr batteries compatible with the 60 volt flex volt tool line up?

No, you can't put the 20v batteries in a flex volt tool but you can use 60v flex volt batteries in a 20v tool
