Sturdiness was a necessity
I'm very pleased with the quality of the shelves. If you are thinking of using them for a bar, they work very well. I was concerned with sturdiness of the glass shelves and searched endlessly for the right one and came up with these. No regret on my purchase. Most bar glass shelves are supported on at least two of the four edges where this is only one one edge, however there are four screw holes on the bracket, so you can really get it to be quite sturdy if they are all mounted properly. BE SURE TO USE THE TAPE. I almost threw it in the garbage by accident. It's needed to prevent the glass from sliding out of the bracket. Once it's on the edge, that thing is not coming out.

Great design and look. Needs better installation instructions
I really like the design of these floating shelves. Very good quality. I have installed three of the 4' and two of the 2' model. I got the installation process figured out by the third one since the instructions are not very detailed. (Minus half star) I drilled holes in the mounting bracket in order to put two screws into wall studs. The predrilled holes don't always line up. The twist in anchors are good for drywall but don't work with paneling. The other push-in style anchors tend to spin or go in too far and don't get tight. (Minus half star) The double sided tape needs to go about 3/4 the way down the back edge of the glass shelf with the rest of the tape on the top of the shelf. The instructions aren't clear on this. If the tape is only on top, not all of it goes under the bracket. After putting the tape on the shelf, insert the shelf into the bracket with the front raised to at about a 30-45° angle. Push firmly to seat the shelf into the back of the bracket then lower the front. If the screws aren't tight, the shelf won't go back far enough.

Suggestion: Use your own anchors to avoid remounting
I agree with the other reviewers that tossing out the supplied wall anchors and using your own is wise. The anchors that came with the unit looked nice enough, but they aren’t the ones that easily drill themselves in and require a larger predrilled hole. Then once installed, only one of the screws actually screwed in tightly into the anchors, the others not going all the way in and then just spinning the wall anchors inside the wall!I had to take the shelf back off, rip out the wall anchors, which left holes bigger than the wall anchors we had in our personal stash. I had to move the shelf away from the exact original location I wanted to mount it to use the new anchors in solid drywall after puttying the failed anchor holes. Because I had the shelf exactly where I wanted it the first time, and I did not have lots of room to move it for the new holes, now installed, you can see some of the damage behind the top of the shelf after mounting it with our own anchors. To have made it look best, I would have had to reputty and sand and paint the failed holes and remount, which I didn’t have time or patience for. In my application, not that big of a deal, but creating a nice install would’ve been way more time consuming. Using anchors you know work for you would probably save you all of this. Also, like others, there is no instruction on how to use the sticky tape or any explanation of what the two separate odd looking metal pieces are, which I later found out from reading must be shelf joiners if mounting more than one shelf together somehow. I spaced the sticky tape along the back so each piece was also on the top but not on the top far enough to show once installed.Remember to clean your glass before mounting. Also, it required a bit of strength to get the screws in flat, which my husband finished for me. Note that the provided screws look like flat-head drywall screws which may work without anchors in some applications, but I would still use anchors for safety, particularly if there are kids or dangerous situations that could occur.

Shelf, Bracket and some hardware but no instructions included
No instructions came with it. Manufacturer doesn't have online instructions linked to their site. I found instructions on the Home Depot site BUT it mentions some sort of double sided tape. There is no tape of any kind included. Instructions do show all the odd hardware supplied BUT there are 2 odd, bent circular discs that aren't mentioned anywhere. Can't tell from instructions if double sided tape is supposed to be the normal stuff or if it's the thicker variety. Fairly certain it's needed to do the install though.

Device works not easy to install
The installation instructions were kind of poor. this device really requires two people to install and it should have been more clear in the instructions. The anchors provided for use in drywall are not really usable for something of this weight in most drywall I suggest that they look at replacing them with something a bit more commercial

Just ok
The problem with the shelf is the mounting hardware they sent you is extremely cheap crappy mounting hardware. Go get your own from Lowe’s or Home Depot, it is also very much oversized to wear if it is installed correctly you can still see the tops of the wall anchors the top line on the shelf

How clean it looks!
Placed it on the wall beneath our 47" flat screen TV, which is wall mounted high in the corner in our bedroom. The purpose for the floating glass shelf was to hold the DVD/VHS player and the local cable company's HDMI tuner box just below the bottom of the TV. Looks clean, compact and organized.

Over all a good buy.
Instructions seem generic, don't really help but as long as you have a little knowledge about wall hanging or shelving you should be fine. Didn't line up with my studs. Easy to pull glass out of the slot so make sure to use that double sided tape. Or so to the store and grab some grade A stuff. Looks very sleek/clean. Over all worth the buy. Now lets hope my wife like the memorial I made for her uncle. Looks cluttered might take some figures off.
