Classy product! Beautiful solution
Easy to put on. The flecks truly make this look spectacular! It really was a fantastic alternative to purchasing a new countertop. It really gave a facelift to our kitchen. I would say that this takes a painter with moderate experience or at least an eye for detail and finesse. We picked Lodestone to match our grey kitchen aid appliances. Great color match! It also covers far with many coats!Shown are our before and after pictures. We had a very used laminate countertop (when we moved in). One order provided way more than enough coverage for our approximately 30 sq ft countertop. We did allow it to cure for a full week. It does tend to leave food rings if you don’t wipe it within a reasonable amount of time. So far the durability has been pretty good, but it will show scratches.Overall, very happy!! Definitely recommend this product! We plan to have this multiple years. Thanks for a great project!

I now love my kitchen!!!
I was looking for a solution for my ugly backsplash ( small glass and copper, and brown tiles) and red and gray countertops.I first, covered the backsplash with peel and stick tile in a grayish beige color. My kitchen looked some better but I still wasn't a fan of the dark countertops with the already dark cabinets.I saw Speadstone by Daich on youtube. I watched several videos on the application process as well reviews. I felt like this product was doable so I bought the kit in Natural White.I took my time to read the directions that came with the kit. Then I applied the product. It was very easy to apply. You definitely need to either tape off the kitchen or have a sander that collects dust well (mine didn't) or it will take a few days to get rid of all of the dust out of your home. Other than that, it was a fun process.I absolutely have fallen in love with my kitchen. The countertops are so beautiful with the different colors from the stones ( It's not too much). My kitchen is so much brighter!!! I believe that countertops will last for a very long time. The material is very hard once it dries.I was considering paying a big box home improvement store a couple of thousand to replace my counters.I'm so glad I tried SpreadStone, first!!!With the new countertops, my original backsplash looks so much better ( I still may paint the backsplash, who knows). You can change your countertop yourself!! Go for it!

Takes time, but worh it
The instructions were very clear on how to do this, but I found using a paintbrush was much better than trying to use the rollers. The 1st step is VERY thick (think of a mud mask consistancy) and does dry gritty. I also found for the next step (the stone coat) it was easist to take a stir stick and use it to scoop and plop on the counter and then I spread it how I wanted with my brush. Once dry I would fill in spots if needed. The time consuming parts are having to wait for things to dry and after you get the stone coat on you have to sand, fill in, wait for it to dry again, sand again etc. until you get it right. I did not have any issues with the clear top coat, but I did end up doing 3 or 4 coats until I got it as smooth as I wanted. It looks great and if you are patient and don't rush it you will like the results. I did a similar Rust-oleum kit a few years ago and it had paint chips instead of the rock. Both kits were easy to use, but I LOVE the variety of colors and dimension this kit gives. We found copper, silver, gold and onyx colors that were not noticed until after we sanded and it's stunning. The Rust-oleum kits now are also outrageously expensive for just paint chips and this kit was much prettier. Now hopefully they keep the pricing as it is so I can continue to sing their praises.

Easy affordable way to update that old laminate countertop
Easy weekend project with amazing results! Clear directions and helpful video on YouTube make this a fun stress free update. Can't speak to the durability since we just finished it yesterday. Did have to go to the hardware store for more sandpaper ( they only give you 1 course and 1 fine sheet in the kit). Also said there should have been a mask to wear during sanding and there was not however not a problem since we had extra unused covid masks. Easy cleanup and looks great! Could not be happier with the results!

Very good alternate to new counter tops
This was intended to stave off new countertops for several years - so far it looks like it'll do the job. I put this on my kitchen countertops about 5 months ago. It still looks really good. It has resisted staining, but I haven't tried anything extreme. The surface isn't glass smooth - it's textured. I suppose I could have spent more time sanding, but I only wanted the kitchen down for so long.I'm very happy with the finish - the durability and the color (Onyx Fog). It makes a nice contrast with the white cupboards and appliances. This color is a grey, not beige. The color was important due to the flooring being grey. You can see the color and texture a little in the pictures.I used an orbital sander for this job. I went out and bought an inexpensive palm sander just for this job. Consider it part of the materials needed.

Looks much better than a 30 year old pink counter
Not for the average painter. Very hard to get an even look. Dry very hard and gloss makes it look like a Disneyland prop in looks. Sturdy but very plastic looking. I know that I will be remodeling my kitchen next year so I do like the grey color base compared to my pink Formica top before. So this product is sort of a temporary fix I think.
