Starseed R/evolution: The Awakening

This is your wake-up call!
A must read. This is your wake-up call! Dr. Richard Horowitz has, as one of the pre-eminent physicians in this country, (specializing in the treatment of Lyme disease and chronic inflammatory illness), taken this opportunity to share his knowledge andvision with all of us. Using science fiction to bring alien civilizations, starseeds, and human foibles into juxtaposition, he weaves a fascinating story of how our neighboring galaxies have come to recognize the peril ofour civilization and how it is affecting them directly. The Arcturians come to Earth to share their knowledge and concerns, and in this rollicking description of our interactions, with wit and poignancy Dr. Horowitz helps us to understand our own plight. For me, the unique play-within-a-play in Part IV was especially powerful. All of the characters, alien and human, developed through thestory line of the book, come together here with global experts in ecology, to give a harrowing, vivid vision of the year 2042, and all of the changes thathave occurred in our world due to our poor response to the scientists who have been warning us, for years, of what our future may hold if we continue on our current path of inaction. Continuing with our current “we need morestudies” and “this is not proven to our scientific satisfaction” approach has led to the consequences of global warming, chemical and electromagnetic toxicities, and plagues of infectious agents that are decimating our population and our planet. The beauty of this play is that rather than leave us with an apocalyptic ending, it is filled with hopeful, realistic science that would allow us, if we act upon this information today, potentially reverse this travesty and leave a healing world to our children and grandchildren. Within the guise of fiction, Dr. Horowitz gives us hope. This is an important book and I would encourage everyone to read it immediately so that we can all begin our healing journey.

Thought-provoking, Entertaining, Poignant!
What an entertaining and engaging way to bring to light such an important topic. In Starseed R/evolution: The Awakening, Dr. Horowitz engages the reader with a sci-fi adventure while discussing incredibly important and time-sensitive climate change issues. He presents this information in a fun and approachable manner that stimulates deep thought and opens up a whole new way of thinking about how we live together on and with this amazing planet.Funny, engaging, and couldn't have come at a more important time in human history. I really enjoyed this!!

Amazing read, climate change, Starseeds & more!
The media could not be loaded. Dr. Horowitz’s first science fiction novel is a tour de force! It’s the year 2100, & the Earth is in trouble. Climate change is increasing the tick borne illness pandemic, which already exists, tbh, and humans are in a tail spin.At first, I wondered if Crown Prince Ian was a savior, or the devil! The book has it all, adventure, mysticism, satire, & psychological twists.A great summer read!

We need action on climate change now
I’ve read Dr. Horowitz’s books on Lyme disease and grabbed this one as well. One of the reasons Lyme is at epidemic stage is due to climate change which has led to more tick exposure. It’s the classic “cautionary tale.” Funny, sad, and provocative. I’m not a huge fantasy or science fiction reader but I’ve been thinking about this one weeks after I first read it.

Funny but preachy
The author is funny with puns, jokes on old jokes and references to light heated things from the past like Monty Python and Mr. Ed. Reading his work is easy because he knows his way around prose. The thing is that he preaches about climate change incessantly. Ok, yes climate change is bad but who wants so much time spent on it in a Sci-fi book. I’d prefer more action or insight into the characters.Anything else I say would be a spoiler. I wouldn’t buy it again and I won’t be reading it again.
