***** Update 2I received the replacement candles a few days after I was contacted by the seller. I have been checking them out for the last several days and they appear to be operating as expected now. I assume now that my first order was a defective set with inconsistent on/off automatic timers but this set operates according to design. I trust this will now continue over time. But since this set operates as expected and the customer service followup to my initial review was outstanding I am changing my rating to a 5. They are truly beautiful and exceed my original expectations.***** UpdateI was just contacted by the seller\provider of the candles offering to replace them for me with new ones that hopefully will function properly. For this I am very appreciative and have revised my rating to 4 stars based on the quality of the sellers willingness to stand behind their product. If the replacements work well I will revise my rating again to 5 stars as I had originally planned until they began to fail.*** Original review: I really liked the look and the initial function of the candles. They make a great contrast to all the round candles we have around the house. So for appearance, they do exactly what I want and expect of an LED candle. However...Soon after I set them up I began to notice that, unlike all our other timed candles, these have not been consistent in when they come on each night. I initially turned them on using the button on the bottom so they would come on at 7 pm and then activated the four hour operation on all three using the remote. It all went as expected and seemed to work just like our other candles. Then things started to get strange. The second night one came on at 7 pm as expected. But the second one came on around 7:45. The last one activated unnoticed at some point before 9. All three were off by morning.Now less that a month after buying them none are coming on at 7, the second lights about 30 minutes after the first, and the last one seems to just light up at some point and then shut off about five seconds later. It then comes on again to shut off a few seconds later, repeating again and again. It just won't stay on.I have changed the AAA batteries more than once to eliminate them as the issue, and I reset all three candles multiple times to try and get them to sync and all come on close to the same time. The remote seems to pass signals correctly so I can only assume that I received a batch of defective candles. And of course, my box is gone and my return option for Amazon expired yesterday.I will likely just place these in a place where they will look nice without wasting batteries on them, or I may simply chuck them. The cost was not significant so I am not out a lot. Sad, though, because I really loved the look.I am rating the remote and value as high as they seem to work correctly and the price seems very reasonable if you get a set that works. I would not gift these unless you confirm they work first... so I knocked that down a little.

These candles are beautiful. The remote is a nice plus and includes 4- and 8-hour timer options in addition to flicker, no flicker and dimming buttons. I'm hard to impress, but I'll be ordering more.

We bought several different types of flameless candles, and these are the best by far.These are the ones that look most like real wax.The fake flame is hidden by the edge of the candle. With the other types where you can see the fake flame waving around directly, it ruins the illusion.The square shape is quite elegant, especially if you put them in triplets: you get interesting angles between them.These are the only ones I would consider putting on a dining room table. The other brands are only suitable on high bookshelves and such, where people can't get close to them and see how fake they look.

The Flickering Flameless Candles are amazing , with the realistic candle glow, which was just what I wanted. The package was delivered in perfect condition and also in a short span of time.I attached a picture of the candles in some containers that are a fit for all three of the candles.

Pretty nice candle set for the price! I like the square candles and they are real wax. I have to say that the "candle mode" looks more like a flashing lighthouse beacon to me than a flickering candle. I prefer the "light mode". That said, it fooled a friend who chastised me for having a lit candle on an enclosed book case. The little remote is cool as well. They do take 3 AAA batteries for each candle. Hope the batteries last awhile.

I love these candles, they look so real, my husband thought I went to sleep with candles burning, and tried to blow them out. I just clicked the little remote and they went out. How perfect and just the thing for making a cozy flickering candle light to make me fall asleep, I have trouble going to sleep and this is a safe quiet self timed distraction from daily stress, no fire hazardThey are exactly as described and pictured.

I cannot tell you how delighted we are with the design and quality of these candles. The manufacturer has done an impressive job in making the LED candles really simulate the flicker and light output you would expect with real candles. The ability to remotely control the candles is a marvelous addition. I never expected any product in this area to be so convincing and beautiful. This is product is top value for your dollar. Very impressed!!

Love the look of the square candles. Do seem to suck battery power more than a previous group of round ones I had. I am sure that has nothing to do with shape... maybe I just have them on more since I like them so much.I did have one -out of 9- that stopped working. Their warranty was outstanding and super fast to respond to my emails. Got a replacement coming in a couple days.

Nicely made with a functional remote for easy start or off but I find even quality batteries don’t last so long plus the flickering is a bit robotic compared to some.In general though not too disappointed

Although this item arrived quickly. I was disappointed that there was no remote control device with the candles.

Cannot comment on battery life as only had them a week, easy to use and set up.. looks good in my lounge, very happy with value for money!!

My daughter loved them

Very nice, used them for an event and everybody liked them. I live the timer feature.
