Should’ve started here first
So easy to use and will save you $$$$ if you take your time and do it right. I’m a novice at best, and quotes to delete the chrome were near a thousand dollars. I decided to use the 3M chrome delete (don’t use anything else!) it’s very easy to work with and it turned out better than I imagined. I did invest in a heat gun (about $20) and used it minimally for the installation. I couldn’t be happier about the outcome!

The Best thing!!
Trim was wearing out. Exposing the metal. Made my car trim look like new again...

Much better than Vvivid
I previously installed a Vvivid vinyl blackout kit on my trim. It was somewhat difficult to install and required a bunch of heating to follow the contours of the window trim, but it worked. After a few months, it shrank back, and after a year it was peeling off.I can't speak to the longevity of the 3M vinyl, but the installation bodes well. The 3M material feels thicker but is more flexible, requiring no heat to follow the contours of my windows. Since it didn't need to be heated, it didn't shrink back after a month of temperature fluctuations. The adhesive feels stronger and the process was easier. The knife provided is useless for anything but cutting yourself. I recommend taping it shut and tossing it. Squeegees are always good to have, but on something this narrow you probably don't need one.Just buy a roll long enough for extra because the process takes time and patience. You'll likely mess up one or two sections along the way.Knifeless tape is a game-changer so you don't need to put a sharp knife against your chrome plastic.Watch some tutorials, prep your surface, take your time, apply in a warm, clean environment, and be kind/patient with yourself if you're not intimately familiar with vinyl wrapping.

3M is the best
Outdoor life for this film is 3 to 7 years. In my opinion that is why it is the best. I used the film to cover chrome trim around windows and later the door handles. Completely changes the look of the vehicle. Very happy with the product.

Quality vinyl, but expensive and sucky razor.
Order was correct, and came much earlier than expected (NC). The vinyl is the quality you would expect from 3M, and has a protective plastic layer overtop so you do not scratch the vinyl itself while installing. Its tough, but maybe a little too tough. Tough enough that the crappy little razor blade they give you has a tough time cutting through, which can lead to mistakes, and even hurting yourself. Thankfully I have a stockpile of actual razors that get the job done nicely. Pretty stiff Vinyl, but responds to heat well. Would recommend 3M over Viviid or any other vinyl.

Gets the job done
It’s good quality I wrapped the chrome from my car I just needed more wrapping paper. Overall I recommend it’s still holding up after 2 months so far👍

You get what you pay for!
Had originally purchased a VVIVID wrap. it was wayyy to thick and hard to mold to my cars chrome trim. It was such a pain and gave me nothing but headaches. Decided to try a different higher quality film. Stumbled upon on this vinyl. I would recommend it over the cheaper stuff. You get what you pay for with vinyl.
