the character growth was everything!
This was my first Kennedy Fox book, and oh my. I don’t know what I expected, but holy steaaaaam. This followed Cameron & Elijah. Cameron decided to stay at her family’s cabin when the pandemic started in order to ensure she could quarantine properly (she's a senior getting ready to graduate with her bachelors degree). Her boyfriend was originally going to join her, but he’s an ass and ends up dumping her over a text message. What she doesn’t know is that her brother told his best friend that he can stay there.Neither know the other is gonna be there, and they kinda have that rivalry that gives it that yummy enemies to lovers feeling, along with forced proximity, and brother’s best friend. Not only do these two end up getting along, they come from such opposite backgrounds, it’s great to watch Cameron grow as a character. Cameron is used to having everything done for her, coming from a privileged family and Elijah was quite the opposite. His mother was the cleaner that worked for Cameron's family when they were younger, which was how they met and grew up together. Before quarantining, she didn’t know how to cook, do laundry, and Elijah teaches her how to do these things - plus replacing a smoke alarm battery, and so much more. She’s not the damsel in distress at the end and it just made me genuinely happy to see how much she grew.I think Kennedy Fox did an amazing job to capture the fear and unknowing that the entire world felt back in 2020 when the pandemic first hit. Not only does she capture the extremes that some people were willing to go through with, she also highlighted some important parts that might not get seen very often - like anxiety and how isolation can affect that.

CUTE BROTHER'S BEST FRIEND ROMANCE
this is the first book in the love isolation series! this book is a forced proximity romance that is so relatable because of the recent world events we have faced. one of my favorite parts about enemies to lovers paired with forced proximity is the tension, banter, and games between the two main characters. and this was just that. elijah and cameron have known each other since they were kids. but they are total opposites attract. i loved seeing cami’s growth and seeing her be more independent. also i love that eli teasing her about it gave her more motivation to grow and do better for herself. we love seeing eli secretly rooting for her. i loved being able to see them go from the banter to really caring for each other. this was a nice quick read. perfect pallet cleanser i between some slow burn books! so excited to read the rest of this series!four stars / three chili pepperstropes:- enemies to lovers- brother’s best friend- forced proximity- opposites attract

Quarantine Love
Eli and Cami both leave NYC to escape the virus and quarantine in the country. Neither one realizes that the other is going to be at the cabin at the same time. Cami was expecting her boyfriend Zane, not her brother Ryan's best friend Eli, Eli wasn't expecting anyone else to be there.I loved how they thought they would be able to just stay out of each others way for what they thought would be a few weeks or a month at most. By the time they hit two weeks they were already rehashing childhood stories and feelings. Cami was begging Eli for attention and to get together with him. They both had feelings for each other growing up and denied them.I liked how the story referred to what had been going on during the pandemic without going into too much detail, but references how there were some people who didn't follow the rules. This was a fun read.

A new twist to a second chance romance.
A great friends to lovers with a second chance twist. Cami and Eli have known each other for years. But both never revealed how they felt about one another. With the pandemic raging both of them decided to get out of New York City . Eli's best friend who happens to be Cami big brother tells Eli he is welcome to stay at the family cabin in upstate New York to get out of the city. So imagine his surprise that Cami is already there at the Cabin. Trapped together for weeks both of them learn about the feels they have for each other. There is plenty of hot and passionate sex. Must important the two of them finally realize what they have been missing and how happy they can make each other. I can't wait to start the next book. I'm dieing to know what happens with Ryan and Kendall

Forced proximity magic
I love a good forced proximity romance. I didn't love the 😷 aspect of it so much but the rest of the story was good.

Quick and Spicy!
OMGG where to start!Going into this book, being what it is, I was definitely nervous! Given the situation the characters find themselves in and how everything is VERY REAL in the times we’re currently living in, I couldn’t help but think certain things would be triggered in myself while reading! But that was far from the case! Cami and Eli are sooo swoon! The tension in the beginning that turns into an all consuming passion is seriously a-one in this read!I loved the aspects of them having to fight through more than was expected and that it did nothing but tie the two further together!Perfect if you want something quick and spicy but still covering real hard hitting topics!

The book I've been wondering about
I feel like I thought there should and had to have been a book or series written during the height of the covid19 pandemic. I had this book downloaded for a while and just truly for into it and am glad I did. I have lived through the pandemic, had covid and had asthma so I do remember the struggles of being nervous to get it and pass it or being a carrier. It was a big thing almost two years ago and people still deal with it now just not as severe that I know of thankfully due to the vaccines. I am grateful to have lived through those times and am thankful for all the people who worked in the hospitals. I think I got off topic, but I did like this book and am glad I found it and liked the storyline.

Cami & Eli ❤️
I could not put this book down. Cami & Eli are the sweetest couple. Being stuck together during quarantine, they realise that neither of them are anything like they had always thought. They may be complete opposites, but they fit together perfectly. Their chemistry and sexual tension was so hot! And their banter had me laughing out loud. I am looking forward to hearing more from this couple, when we meet Cami & Eli’s best friends in the next book of this series.

Elijah & Cami
I loved Elijah you could tel he loved Cami right from the beginning. He was so sweet, caring and he can cook and clean, now that’s my kind of guy!! I loved how it shows in a awful time wonderful things can happen. The incident that happened I was not expecting and came out of no where. I loved how Cami became herself and she learnt all those new tasks. I loved that we got to see into future at end as I love happy ending but I love it more when we find out what happens with them it make the story feel more complete.

not a favourite
Struggled with both characters as they seemed quite young. Also didn’t feel it was up to the authors usual standards.
