Been using them for 3 years and they still work great. They have a small fan that pushes the ozone out, but you have to listen closely with your ears near it to hear. You can tell they works because you can smell that ozone in the kitchen running at full power if you leave it on for 20-30 minutes, the ozone smell in room is fairly strong. The wonderful thing about these verses the non-adjustable plug-in one, these have a dial so that you can adjust the amount or strength it produces which makes this very convenient for various size rooms. Like a small bathroom powder room only needs <1/4 power vs full power for a large kitchen with heavy cooking orders. It certainly takes the orders away - it WORKS!! Sometimes I'll leave it running for half day in the basement to completely freshen it up from time to time. The ions it generates kills bacteria and viruses if you have someone sick in the house, just place it in that room (like a bedroom) for an hour at full power you're going to be surprised when you walk in if you keep the door closed. In fact you'll need to air it out with the door open for a while because the intensity of the ozone / ions in that room is strong (so you know it works and kills anything in the room). Yes, it costs more per unit than those simple one speed just "plug it in" and hope it's powerful enough models, but they have zero adjustments to be used in different room types or strengths. I love the fact it also has a mini fan inside to pumps out the ozone ions. I find it far more worth it and versatile. I love them.

I have several of these little units and am extremely happy with their function. Giving them as gifts to introduce folks to how simple and effective they are to use. I have one plugged in right next to the stove, and it takes care of all cooking odors within minutes. Use one in my office I share with people who use artificial air fresheners, and it cleans that nasty stuff right up. Great for the bathroom, too. They do not need to be on all the time - just occasionally to clear the air. They are not silent, but are pretty quiet and unobtrusive.

I bought these October 2021 (it is now March 2025) and other than some discoloring around the hole in the front where the air comes out these still work the same as they did on day one! These are a little bit noisy, but in my opinion it just becomes some background white noise that I don’t notice until it’s turned off. Sometimes you have to clean out the air output nozzle, but I just take a slightly wet Q tip to it and clean what I’m able to easily reach and it works fine. I’ve used these for a handful of different smells and rooms. Dog urine, cat urine, cat litter, musky / mildewy smells, stink clothes piles, etc and they help to at least keep the smell contained! For example if I use it for the cat litter and one of my cats takes a stinky poo, I’ll smell the poo for about 3-5 mins and then it’s gone whereas before the smell was sticking around for HOURS sometimes.

Great buy for the price. I was looking for options to eliminate mold odor from the basement hallway and this works!!! I love that its compact and effective. I let it run for 5-6 hours for about 6 days and it made a HUGE difference. I have used it in bathroom and dorm room to eleimate the odor and it works. Would recommend.!!
