I know, they're just spoons. The point is they're quality spoons. These spoons are longer and thicker than the old spoons they're replacing. The handles broke on the old spoons. The new spoons are stronger and the wood is of a higher quality with a fairly good finish on them. I didn't think there would be much difference in wooden spoons but these spoons have proven me wrong. If you need a good quality wooden spoon, at a good price, you won't be disappointed with these.

I love using wooden spoons and these seem like nice ones. The wood looks and feels nice and solid and sturdy, and they arrived feeling pretty smooth. For the cost, I think they’re pretty good! They were maybe slightly rough in a few places but nothing that especially bothered me, and I have not seen any slivers of wood come off of them. I’ve used them in a variety of foods and they haven’t regained color or odor or residue from any of them. They have been washed in my dishwasher at least a dozen times and they are coming out clean and holding up nicely. The only drawback is that they’re all the same size, 12” long. Obviously they’re listed that way so I knew what I was buying...but I didn’t realize that I would really miss having shorter handled spoons for use in small bowls or saucepans, etc. But they could be shortened if needed!

Simple but sturdy; a good spoon depth and handle length for a stirring spoon. Like all unfinished wood spoons, these initially will be colored slightly by what you cook, but that is a plus in my book because that gives them a nice 'seasoned' very quickly. If you are looking for ladles or cooking spoons with a fancy finish then this is not the product for you, but if you are looking for spoons that are highly functional and a good value then this product should fit the bill.

I bought these for a craft. I painted them and sealed them for staff gifts!! They loved them.

I purchased this set of spoons to try wood burning designs on them for gifts. They worked well for this project. I’m not sure if people will actually use them.

These spoons were cheap, and I figure you always need at least 3 of these things in the kitchen. We broke one, so I looked for replacements.These arrived, with 2 of the 6 already misshapen and warped. another has the beginnings of a break through the spoon itself. So far, they're working well enough for what I need, and there's 6, so I'm not too disappointed.Perhaps there's a 'caring for your wooden spoons' process I'm missing, but these are somewhat obnoxious to clean, and I feel like over (an unexpectedly short) time they're only going to warp and crack more to the point of needing replacement again.

All the people who taught me to cook used wooden spoons, and that's what I used too. However, over the course of 50 years, the ones I started out with had mostly cracked or met other unfortunate demises, so they needed to be replaced. This looked like a better way to go than buying one fancier spoon at a time, spread out over time, so I decided to give it a go. I'm now back to having a good supply of the type of spoon I most depend upon when cooking, since I can do almost everything with it. They appear, by the way, to be handmade, or at least hand finished, as they have that indefinable quality of each having their own personality, which pleases me greatly.Thank you were much for reading my review. Two weeks before Christmas and I noticed that my collection of wooden spoons were looking a bit - shall we say - past it? They stirred all right, but they didn't look very nice. So, I ordered more from Amazon and the very next day these beauties arrived. Marvelous!
