Works good and doesn't small bad.
My horse had some kind of skin rash on his legs that would not go away. I was using MTG on it and not only was it not working but it smells really bad. When my horse saw me picking up the MTG bottle he backed up as if to say "get that stuff away from me". My friend gave me some of this wound cream an it cured the rash after about a week and he seemed to enjoy it when I applied it. It's creamy like hand cream and spreads nicely. He really enjoys the leg rubs he gets and I often put him to sleep during his rubs.....And no more backing up....they really do talk to us if we just listen.

Completely got rid of the ear plaques in my mare
At the end of May, I bought a new horse, a 5 year old Hanoverian/Thoroughbred chestnut mare, that had a quarter sized patch of white plaques in her right ear and just a few in the other ear. I almost didn't buy her because of them. While they weren't too aesthetically offensive at the time, I was concerned that they could spread significantly. I talked to my vet about them, and he told me that there is a prescription treatment that works very well, but that is very painful for the horse, so unless the ear plaques themselves are causing the horse pain or they are causing handling issues, that they will not treat them. He told me that since my new horse's ear plaques were only a cosmetic issue, I was basically out of luck and had to live with them. He said to have her always wear a fly mask with ears because they think the plaques are spread by biting flies. So I've done that. I asked another vet as well since I didn't like that answer, but I got the same answer. The ear plaques really bothered me, so I started doing research on the internet and came across Dermafas mentioned as working for some horses in several online forums, and I decided to try it. At the beginning of July, I began applying Dermafas liberally over the plaques in both of her ears 6 days a week. By mid August all of the plaques had fallen off and there was just bright pink skin where they had been. While I was happy the plaques had gone away, I was disappointed that my new horse now had bright pink spots in her ears. I wasn't sure the bright pink spots were better than bright white spots. Nevertheless, I continued with the Dermafas and switched to applying it to the pink skin in her ears every other day and to my pleasant surprise around the middle of September, the pink skin began turning black. By the end of September she looked like she'd never had ear plaques at all. I was so pleased. At the end of September I stopped applying the cream. It's now January as I write this, and I looked at her ears carefully today and noticed that the skin where the plaques used to be is looking a bit rougher than it used to. It is still black, and I had to look carefully to notice the texture. I don't want to risk that the plaques might come back, so I think I'm going to go back to using the cream periodically, maybe applying it once or twice a week. But overall, I'm really really happy with the results. Perhaps I'm just very vain, but I'm really so happy that I was able to get rid of the ear plaques. She's such a pretty horse, and now she really is perfect.

ear plaques
I bought this for a horse with ear plaques. Keeps them soft but that is all. Was hoping to see reduction in ear placques but did not. I use it 5 days a week.

It worked for my mare
I was very unsure of trying this product because everyone told me nothing will work on ear plaques. My mare had large crusty plaques in her right ear that could be easily seen when looking at her face. And her ear was sensitive to the touch. On a vet visit, I was told there were plaques starting to form in her left ear. So, I decided to give the DERMAfas a try. After about two weeks the large crusty plaques were less noticeable and I was able to touch her ear without her pulling away. After a few months, the plaques are still there, but they are smaller, smoother, and not noticeable when looking at her face/ears. She has also lost the feelings of discomfort and soreness in her right ear. In fact she seems to like it when I apply the DERMAfas (even with it's medicinal smell). I think it's soothing to her. Her left ear never developed the crusty plaques. I continue to apply the cream about 3 to 4 times a week. This is certainly not a cure, but it did decrease the appearance of, and, the sensitivity to touch, in my girls ears. I'm very happy with this product.

This is a very helpful product
My mare had ear plaques. One was inflamed and bloody. It was big, and standing out as large as the tip of my pinky finger. Using this ointment 2x a day, and lots of prayers, the big growth fell off. Now all of the plaques are gone and the hair in her ears has grown back too.
