Fourth Estate A Year of Good Eating: The Kitchen Diaries III

A recent visit to New Zealand inspired me to purchase this book for a friend. It's very practical and uses all the left overs in the fridge that are still fresh but need a new idea to present them as something interesting to eat again. Brilliantly presented, easy to read, loads of pictures and just plain if not amazing ideas. Great choice.

This is a lovely book. Not so much cook book as a diary with recipes attached. I do like Nigel Slater's recipes and have tried a few of the ones listed in here. But I found that I enjoyed reading this a story more, it provides some great insight in to our relationship with food and the way we eat in different seasons of the year.

Bought for m daughter but checked out beforehand. Hope she likes it but I found the recipes a bit daunting with hard to find ingredients.

Excellent book lovely woven cover and like all Nigel slater books it won’t disappoint. His book Toast is a must read also

I love this book, as I read Nigel's words I can hear him from the his series on television, he has a very relaxed, calming voice. So will I be able to keep calm whilst cooking!
