Well told
Interesting story. Never realized the Yankees won every battle and that the NY sixth corps won the war. Sarcasm aside an interesting telling of the civil war from the perspective of a common soldier. However one should read one from the perspective of the southern soldier.

If you are an ACW buff this is a good one for the kindle/ Ipad
If you are an ACW buff this is a good one for the kindle/ Ipad. obviously dated, there are better more recent volumes covering the period but this is from a man who was there and is not writing with hindsight or information that was not available at the time. I enjoyed it, if you purchase this, I hope you enjoy it to.

This book depicts the perspective of a common soldier serving in the east with the Army of the Potomac during the American Civil War. If you already have an understanding of the Civil War, this book would be a welcome addition to the library.

Interesting Contemporary Civil War Account
Good read. The book talks about camp life as well as military engagements. It provides a first-hand account by a common soldier of his experiences serving in the Army of the Potomac.
