What a lovely story about 2 close cousins who live in different countries. It helps children understand that distance doesn't mean they have to lose contact, and, especially these days, technology can help us keep in touch but also allow us to experience new things. The word swap is a great idea.We absolutely love that both languages are on each page. A great tool for any family raising their children in a bilingual household or who wish to introduce a new language.Teacher will likely find this really handy in classrooms for early year students too.I really hope to see more books in a similar style from this author and the artist. Such a great, innovative collaboration.

Very nice story of two cousins. One moved away but they still kept in touch. It is written in both English and Italian.

This story is so sweet and the illustrations are also very nice. I cried when I read this and I love the Italian and English. I’m going to get more copies to share. It’s really wonderful.

I liked the fact that the book is written in two languages. At first I thought the message of the book was friendship but later realised it's about language. How migrant children start speaking in the dominant language of a country and forget their mother tongue or find it difficult to converse in the language of their parent. I can relate easily to this situation with my child who prefers to speak in English and not her mother tongue. The best thing about this book is that the characters supported each other in conversations.

I agree with a few points made by other reviewers. First off, the story was a great one for children and the illustrations were absolutely beautiful. My little one loved them, as did I. I also loved the English to Italian formatting...knowing just a little Italian, I too, enjoyed learning a little more of the language. The other point I agreed with, and also my reasoning for just four stars, was the brevity of the book for the price. I highly recommend a few more pages of content be added. Otherwise, great job!
