My dog loves this food.

It is a pate style feed in a recyclable foil tray. I purchased this as I have an old rescue who doesn’t have the best teeth and needs softer food. It looks ideal. Opening the tray lid inevitably results in a splash of liquid, so it can be messy. Most trays appear to be a fine pate with a small central portion of carrot and pasta added, but I did have one that had a dark patch which turned out to be a poorly minced bit of sinew. My dog ate it, but it didn’t inspire me with confidence in the product. To some degree, all wet dog food has ‘animal derivatives’ in it, but when I purchase a chicken option I do expect it to have more than 4% chicken content. I’m not sure what ‘gourmet core’ is but it does sound like marketing speak for ‘mystery meat’! I’ll use up the stocks I have, but not sure that I’ll buy again.

Another purchase for my sisters fussy dog. The quality of the dog food is ok. The texture is good and she seem to like the ingredients. The smell isn’t too bad and the appearance of the food is alright.
