Ziploc really is the standard for quality with the storage bags. I haven't really loved their containers that I've tried before, but NOTHING else beats their bags. I use them for short and long term storage, in the pantry, in the fridge, in the freezer, snacks in the locker at work, and shared cabinets for food and snacks and knick knacks of all variety including art supplies and random bits and pieces. They keep anything edible fresher for longer, and I have rarely seen a tear in one that I was storing something relatively pointy in, like pens, or pencils, or random paperclips and bits of leftover dried clay. These bags hold more content and lie flat compared to the zipper top bags. Yes, the zipper tops are more convenient at times, but I switched back to these a few years back because of storage size. You get the occasional rouge box that the bags are hard to open, or one of the bands tears loose the first time you open it, but the same can be said for the zips to come off on the other bags. I like that these bags don't leave my food tasting like plastic like a lot of generic plastic bags do. I get these in the gallon size, as well. For really large produce storage I buy a competitor's 2.5 gallon bags which only comes with a zip top, but those are really good bags, too! These bags can also hold up to being cleaned and reused more than once.

I wanted to see how well these would actually hold up, so I filled one with water and put it through a pretty aggressive leak test. After sealing it tightly, I shook it, squeezed it, flipped it upside down, and even dropped it into my hand multiple times to simulate real use (and then some). Not a single drop leaked out.
