I got one of these over 2 years ago and it has just been perfect until it ripped today. It was partly an accident and partly I suspect from normal wear and tear. I used it at least once a week in my in ground pool year round for scooping fine particles off the surface and scooping stuff off the bottom. I let it bake in the hot Arizona sun too. Either way, I feel I got my money's worth and will be ordering a new one. There are 4 things I really love about this net - 1 the plastic and materials are good quality. No amount of pool chemicals and sun could make the plastic break or warp. 2 the opening is shaped in such a way that you can use it like a shovel and guide things into the net easily. 3 the mesh is so fine it captures nearly EVERYTHING. Finally 4 the net itself has a criss-crossing patter on the bottom which I suspect is reinforcement for when the net is dragging on the bottom of your pool. I appreciated this detail.

Great at getting pollen and collects a LOT of junk before needing to be emptied. This is the second one I had to purchase over the last six years or so, and it's worth it enough where I'll buy another one with this dies. What are you waiting for!? Buy it now!

Can't believe how much better quality this is than the CRAP the local pool store, and hardware store have. Love the way the lip works like a dust pan / Shovel! Soooo much more effective at scoping things from the bottom. Also this "silt mesh" is a MUST have if you want a truly dust / sand / dirt / tiny insect free pool. Would definitely buy again!

Worked great for 5 years in the FL sun, a small tear started today when using. I’ll buy again for the price of longevity… made well bought 8.2020

Exactly what I was looking for. The mesh on my old skimmer net was too big. It was great for leaves but anything smaller than a may fly went right through. This new one catches everything. My only gripe is it had a couple sharp points that could have punctured the liner if, say, it sunk to the bottom and got stepped on. But I cut them down easily with a sheetrock knife. See the attached photos. I'd like to update this review. It's been 2.5 years since I purchased (this) my first one which stayed with the sale of my home so I purchased my current one about 15 months ago. The net is now rotted and torn. Granted, I use it year round and often so I will assume that's about the nets lifespan. Also the yellow scoop ridgevhas become worn down from the rough concrete bottom of the pool. I saw in one of the questions they asked about a replacemet net and were told that yes they are available from 2017 but where can you order them? But I'm about to order my third. I noticed the price has adjusted for inflation+.

This net picks up all the fine stuff at bottom of pool. My pool Sweep “ sharky” as we call him Is in need of repair and is not moving up to shallow end of our pool. I had sand debris bugs in shallow end. I saw the same leaf in shallow end 3 weeks in a row and our weekly pool guy just left it... that’s another story. I Ordered this net and got all fine silt stuff out. We got rid of pool guy. I can sweep the pool once a day with this net and pick up fine stuff within minutes. pool has never looked better. Update 8/30/18 once again this net has saved the day live in Northern California and we were deveatated with wildfires.. I lived about 15-20 miles from fire line but had tons of ash fall. I was able to use the net and get a lot of the ash out daily, saving our pool we were able to finally vacuum out the rest when ash stopped dropping. This net was the ticket to getting stuff out until we could vacuum, will but again

I bought one of these 3 yrs ago and left a 5* review, loved the product, changed my pool life forever, lol. It's still going strong, when the pool is in use I use it nonstop daily. In my previous review I stated how I couldn't find anything like it at any pool store and still haven't. I bought my father-in-law one for his pool, loves it, keeps telling me how great it is. Decided to buy myself a backup, but 3 yrs in my original is still good as new after heavy, daily use. $40 is a steal, best investment I've made outside of upgrading to a sand filter pump.

It helps get sediment and bugs out of my pool. I don't have too much trouble with leaves, so this is perfect because the other nets let those pesky tiny bugs through the net while this one doesn't. I totally wore my first one out. It is good and sturdy, but I really used the first one so much that I had to get another one and I ordered it again.
