A lot. Hard to pick up and carry too far, but sturdy as hell and works like a dream

Q: Will it lift an SUV for roadside tire change?

Check the weight of your vehicle. There should be a sticker on the panel inside the drivers door. 2.5T is the max so if your SUV is under 5,500lb I don't see why it wouldn't lift it. Also, I know I've used a 2T jack to lift my car that's 4,600lb, but use your best judgement.
