Clutch in repairing pool return line leaks. All the stars.
My pool was losing 1.5-2" of water per day, running 6 hours per day, and so I went hunting for leaks. Yada yada yada, we found a MAJOR leak in the return line closest to the pump right on the wall of the pool, and another significant leak in the booster pump return line for the Polaris (automatic vacuum). The second picture shows some plumbing retrofitting a friend and I performed around the booster pump line (the one with the 90 degree elbow pictured) because the skimmer and return line were run at the same depth and bent over the top, placing significant pressure on the pipe below. In fact, when we cut those lines to add the 45 degree fittings up and over, both pipes split like a can of biscuits after being merely nicked with the saw.In any case, we depressurized and drained each line, cleaned up the site of the leak, and smeared a generous amount if this epoxy into the crack and the joint where the pipe enters the pool wall. Draining the line is key in this application. If you don't, water in the line will push the glue out of the joint, as it remains fully workable for 30-40 minutes or more. Full cure time is 24-48 hours, but I was impatient and pressure tested each of these fixes after 4-5 hours of curing. The leaks are well-sealed, bone dry, and have held for nearly a full week of observation. I've been very impressed with this product. Also, something else I saw in another review - the cap is not symmetrical. One end is square, the other is rounded, so that you don't get residual hardener and resin into the wrong half of the syringe when placing the cap on. Also, I did make sure to mix this for the full 2 minutes recommended. One of these was enough for both repairs and a few other repair jobs around the house. Will buy again, undoubtedly.

Did not stick to swimming pool plaster, impossible to work with underwater
Though it is claimed to be usable underwater it failed to glue small ceramic markers to plaster walls of an in-ground swimming pool. It takes forever to cure and is very liquid until it does, consequently items have to be held together with some contraptions. There was not enough tack to keep the pieces in place and they kept sliding down. Waste of money and efforts.

THE GLUE for do it yourself PVC boat patching.
I've tried patching PVC boats with regular patch kits before. Sometimes, it worked; other times it did not. A professional told me that the key for this project is humidity. The traditional PVC patch glue needs a DRY environment to work. . . something about melting two pvc materials (patch and boat) to form one material. If you are attempting this project during the winter months in a dry garage, no problem. . .but summer months in marine environments, you'll have problems. . . and I wasn't about to roll up a 100 lb and bring it to a dry environment just to patch. So I tried this Mr. Sticky glue with PVC patches that came with typical patch kits. The holes were in the HIGH PRESSURE floor bottom. . . 3 of them. . . and I didn't really follow directions very well. I did the initial alcohol swab, roughed up patch and boat, didn't do a second alcohol swab. . . and put glue on only one side. (Directions state to glue both sides) Then I rubbed everything down and put some heavy weight on it. I did this all on a dock. (very humid) Came back two days later and I couldn't believe the bond. Tight and flexible. . . and the pressure held for a week straight so far. Extremely satisfied. If I took it to the local professional, he would have charged me $50 per patch and he would have taken a month to do the job. . . and I would have nearly broken my back taking the boat to and from the shop. This is the way I will be fixing every PVC boat from now on.

Great for repairing pool tile
This stuff is great for repairing pool tile (not fixing a broken tile, but adhering it back to the wall). I had a couple of loose tiles that had been bothering me for a while. Took the tiles off, cleaned them of any debris and old mortar, used this stuff and they are now more secure than the original tile. The trick is to put some type of weight/tension on the tile as it cures. I rigged a little contraption that kept pressure on the tile overnight to allow this stuff to fully cure. Next day, those tiles weren't going anywhere. Did what I wanted it to do, at a fair price. Thumbs up.

No doubt, this stuff totally works...
This glue works very well underwater. I recently used it to make repairs while scuba diving and it worked like a charm. Very solid bond. One thing I'll suggest is to mix the glue and the surface on a slate and then apply it with a small stick or pencil underwater. Trying to mix it underwater tends to cause it to get all over you. And, as you can imagine, it sticks quite well.
