Excellent shovel, well constructed, heavy duty, I am sure it will outlive me. But it is too heavy for me. I wish I had returned it and exchanged it for a lighter one. It is too much for my job which is removing weeds from the garden. From the description, I did not appreciate its weight (or I did not pay attention!)

This is a heavy duty item. We expect this to last a few lifetimes. The enamel on the shovel head is awesome and through all the wet weather this Summer, there's not a spot of rust on it, and that's after a LOT of digging. The quality of a forged tool is light-years from a standard, pressed tool. I would recommend this to anybody looking for a shovel to last through a lot of heavy work.

Best built shovel I ever owned-will be around long after I am gone! Great for digging in hard material but too heavy for scooping light material. This is a heavy duty tool!
