Bluetooth Adapter Aux Audio Cable for Alpine IDA-X305 KCE-400BT CDA-105Ri

I bought this because I had an Alpine CDA-105 and I just wanted to listen to spotify. I tried using the aux in cable but the cable was broken and would only play music on the right speakers unless I held it a certain way. Eventually the aux in stopped working all together. So when I got this bluetooth module I hooked it up to ground and 12v accessory and plugged it in the back of the head unit and the head unit did not recognize it. It put out a bluetooth signal but when I connected, nothing happened.

Bought a new vehicle that had an alpine. Did some research probably not enough before making this purchase. Was hoping to add bluetooth to the head u it. Bought this devise and stated in head unit user manual. Installed and it will not show up on any bluetooth device. After a bit more research it appears this will not work for anything but older ipods/iPhone that no longer exist. Paper weight for the 21st century. More description would have saved me money. Thanks for nothing lol. No to buy a whole new head unit.
