I have a new best friend ....With all the animals that I own, I wanted to streamline my cleaning routine - and with no harsh chemicals! I spent hours and hours researching different kinds of steam mops, different brands, and different setups. It took a long time for me to take the plunge, so I wanted to make sure that I was happy with my choice. Several, and I mean *many* of the Steam Mops I looked at also came with a large number of negative reviews. Among common issues were: the mop was received dirty and used (What?!), the mop stopped working after 1 month, 3 months, etc., mop was flimsy, mop handle broken after less than 2 months of use, not enough oomph to actually clean, hand got tired from holding the 'on' button down, and uneven steam distribution. All of these things were things I wanted to avoid. Near the end of my research, when I had made a decision, is when I saw an ad for the Light N Easy by OApier - and just like that, my decision was made. I did a thorough research on performance, accessories and durability. This was THE one.At long last it had arrived. I spent the next two hours cleaning the entire entryway - the door, the windows, the mirror, the half wall, the stairs and the entryway floor. I used it as it was, then changed it to handheld and switched my accessories with ease. I was hooked. The next day, I spent over 7 hours steam cleaning in it's ENTIRETY ... the master bathroom, the master bedroom and the living room. I am talking doors, door mouldings, cupboards, floors, counters, walls, mirrors, windows, tubs, tub walls, sink, the toilet, the floor around the toilet, atrium door glass, baseboards, faucets, the fireplace, you name it!!! Every surface. Deep cleans and wipes away the deepset dirt. (But do take care around heat sensitive items.)For those of you that have caged animals - this steam mop is a game changer. I wipe down the bird cages and chinchilla cages with my 'animal sponge', but the metal cages are not kind to sponges and I go through alot of them. I tested the steam cleaner on the chinchilla cage which I have had for over 10 years at least - and it looks brand new. It took me zero effort other than passing the hand held triangle over the bars. Instantly - it removed chinchilla dust, fur, grime - gone. With one pass. I also had a bile cat vomit on the floor and I purposely didn't clean it so I could see how it would perform with the steam vac after being left to dry. It took 3 passes and then it was like it never happened. Greasy grime? one pass ... gone, shiny and clean. Amazing.For large glass areas, like the bay window, or the atrium doors, it did drip a little bit of water as I went, so I did follow up with a pass using a paper towel, but for the minimal effort of actually washing these, the final pass with the paper towel was nothing. The handheld unit is SO easy to remove and put back - takes no time at all to switch from one to the other, rendering me unstoppable.Here are the Pros of what my 'perfect' steam mop has:1. Easy to assemble right out of the box (some unboxing videos showed some steam mops to be very difficult and challenging to assemble!!)2. Variety of attachments - to clean more than just floors3. Detachable Hand Held unit - an absolute must for me !!!!!4. Flat Surface Tool - also an absolute must!!!5. Holds enough water to do a room6. 20' cord7. No button to keep holding down to keep the steam going - tilt it up, it turns off. Fabulous8. Not heavy, easy to maneuver9. Three levels of steam - Lo, Med, and Hi10. Over 210 degrees to disinfect and kill most microbes (320 degrees on high)11. Window squeegie!!! Love!!!12. Cord clip to keep cord out of the way - little details13. Swivel head, wide base, allows you to get close to edges, and the flatness of the head allows you to go under baseboards, doors, etc.14. Tested on cat vomit - 3 swipes all gone15. Ease of switching tools, attaching and detaching - never skipped a beat.16. 11.5 ounce water reservoir - not the biggest, but enough to do the job - I can do the entire kitchen floor with one filled reservoir. Higher steam uses a bit more water - but refilling is a breeze and you don't have to wait for the machine to cool down. The water cup has a long nozzle that accurately puts the water where you want it - no spills!17. Built sturdyHere are my personal Cons, which are very minor.1. Need more than 1 cloth for the flat surface tool - mine is getting ALOT of wear. You do get TWO floor pads.2. Definitely need a longer hose for hand held unit, or - a second, longer hose in addition to the one provided - or....3. Length attachments to reach higher spaces with the hand held unit - for example: Walls near the ceiling - so I don't have to get up on a chair. ;)4. Maybe a square, flat attachment for that longer length attachment as well to make it easier for the higher wall space near the ceilings. :)5. Can't see the water level very well when filling, as it is a dark grey window which makes it hard to see.6. Hand held unit is TIPPY!!! Especially with the hose on, it has a flat bottom to set down, but any movement of that hose tips it right over. BUT: I use a belt looped through the handle and over my shoulder to hold the hand held unit close to myself, so as to not have to carry it around with me - thus freeing up my other hand. This proved to be ingenius!!7. People complained of the lack of an accessory bag, but I simply kept the box the accessories came in and it's narrow enough to fit in a closet corner.8. No indicator light to let you know you have no more water in the reservoirAgain, these cons are so minor compared to the major cons that came with the MAJORITY of the Steam Mops that I looked at..... at all price points too.What made this unit stand out from the rest???Other units did not come with a handheld cleaner, nor did they come with a flat surface tool - which I definitely wanted so I could disinfect the countertops.Some steam mops had the water steam unit by the hand, which made for a 'heavy' machine when doing large surface areas, and also heavy as a hand held unit if cleaning for any length of time, and also pushing back and forth - easy at first, but reviews stated that the arms would tire or it would become awkward after a while. My steam mop is well balanced with ease of maneuvering.Many complained of hand cramps from having to hold down the power button as they cleaned - this was a huge turnoff for me as I looked through the different models .... this unit shuts off when you stand it upright and stays on as long as you are mopping - fantastic design.SO, I know I sound like a commercial .... but

I love this steamer! What a great tool for homeowners. It pays for itself in one use, though I’ve used it many times already since I purchased it in December 2022. I used to hire a company to steam clean my tile floors and it cost much more than this machine did. Now I get the use of this machine for a variety of uses.A shout out and huge thank you to Angela Brown, aka Ask a House Cleaner, for her great YouTube videos where I first learned about this steamer. Angela made it seem like an indispensable tool so I purchased it immediately. I’m now a convert! I love it! I quickly vacuumed and then steam cleaned my kitchen tile floor. Recently I steamed my master bath shower. Over the years I’ve tried so many cleansers to clean my shower tile and grout, but I wasn’t satisfied with any of the results. I’ve used harsh chemicals (which I loathe) as well as “green” cleaners which were insufficient. But I used this steamer with the grout scrub attachment and with very little effort my 18-year-old shower tile and grout looks like new. It is so very easy to use.Unlike what other reviews wrote, I did not allow the steamer to cool off before adding more water; I simply opened the spout, added water and continued cleaning. And I always use distilled water in it. I haven’t tried using the steamer with bonnet on cloth furniture, but that’s next! This machine is easy, lightweight, and chemical-free cleaning at its best! Highly recommended!

I purchased this item after my Shark steamer died after 10+ years. When researching I wanted to replace it with another Shark, but look at how the new mop was designed I was not a fan. Anything that has a lot of moving parts to me is just trouble waiting to happen, so a folding mop head on a steamer…no thank you. The LIGHT 'N' EASY Steam Mop Cleaners 9-in-1 with Detachable Handheld Unit seemed like it fit the bill for me. I have 2 all tile showers that need to be cleaned (most of us know they are a pain in the butt and leave residue from most cleaners). Steaming is the way to go, especially the glass doors, then I move onto the tile floor straight from the shower. I find it easy to put together and light weight, it steams great and holds more water than others. Also the temperature is higher, which I like for ceramic tile. It comes with a guide so you know how to clean which type of material. As for being easy to use, 4 stars because the hose should be longer to be able to move it easier, also to be able not have to use both hands while using an attachment. Maybe a lock switch for a hands free option for hard to reach areas. Otherwise It’s a very nice product.
