Use before you get Repetitive Stress Injury and problems in your fingers from use of computer mouse or track pad.
I have arthritis in my fingers. My finger problems were caused by non computer use. But the result is the same. My use of computer mouse, keyboard, cell phone as well as other difficulties is limited. I have been aware of problems related to constant computer mouse. I have searched on line for computer mouse and keyboard that does not require much pressure to use. Computer mouse manufactures do not seem interested in decreasing the amount of pressure required for use. I have searched on line and tried many products. Computer mouse products seem to be of two types. There are those for the severely disabled and thus a very expensive out of pocket cost. Then there is everyone else. I even purchased and used computer mouse supposedly for arthritis. That product seemed to require the same amount of finger pressure to use. I saw these and decided to give them a try. The result is amazing. My fingers have considerably less discomfort with mouse use. I removed and replaced gel pads to ensure that they could be removed as advertised. There was no difficulty. My only problem was finding the best position for finger pads. I recommend this product for everyone. For those with finger problems and for others to help prevent finger problems. I wish as another reviewer stated. That there were pads for computer keyboards. edited..I am purchasing a second set. I tried the gel pads on my Bluetooth track pad. It took a bit of experimentation to get them in my usual right and left click spots. But this product works great on track pad.

I expected they would not be a good long term solution for me
Although these gel pads were very helpful, I expected they would not be a good long term solution for me. I have a rare neuro-muscular disease and my fingers are contracting so holding a mouse is becoming increasingly more difficult. My final solution was to buy the Kensington Track Ball which has been wonderful but not the perfect solution for me. The perfect solution in my case probably does not exist. With a mouse, there are times when you left click and hold while moving the mouse, for example to move a window, but with only being able to use my thumb, I have not discovered how to accomplish this task.

Absorbs shock
For me, the Ergonomic Gel Pads ease the pain of temporary injuries that result from repetitive clicking. I perform a lot of research online for graduate papers, so my fingertips would hurt a lot before the introduction of the pads. The pads keep my fingertips from continually pressing into my mouse's hard plastic surface. I had no idea that making the mouse's surfaces cushion-y could make such a major difference in the way my hands feel. Now I can use the mouse for longer periods of time with far less discomfort. This means I can concentrate on my work more and not on whether my hands will be able to hold up.If the maker of the Ergonomic Gel Pads could design a keyboard with similar cushioning material built into the keys, then heavy computer use could be even less injurious to the hands. I predict that a keyboard with keys made from a similar gel-like, rubberized material would sell like hotcakes.

simple but effective solution for wrist and hand pain
Almost immediately after I purchased a tower-type computer (after years using only laptops), I developed excruciating pain in my poor arthritic right hand and wrist, apparently from the 'curled in' hand position that the external mouse required. I literally had tears rolling down my eyes. I decided to try these mouse pads as a first solution. They came immediately, I put them on the mouse in the positions that were right for MY hand, and much sooner than I expected, my pain went away and has not returned. These pads have stayed attached to my mouse for several months with no problem. Also, this is a first-rate seller who checked in with me to see if the pads were working and seemed legitimately concerned about the quality of his product. I believe the pads, for me, were a better solution than an expensive ergonomic mouse. And the price is very reasonable. Great deal!!

Good product
This product does relieve the pain associated with my carpal tunnel when I'm using a mouse for long periods of time. However, I hadn't thought about the fact that I go back and forth between the mouse and the keyboard most of the time, so it's a little difficult to quickly and correctly reposition my hand each time. One thing that would have been helpful with this product is some sort of guide to help determine where to place the pads on the mouse, especially for the larger palm piece. I wasn't sure which part of my hand the pad was supposed to be supporting. Consequently, I had to reposition the palm piece more than once, and part of it no longer sticks to the mouse.

Makes the mouse much more comfortable, but they get UGLY
Years of my hand being hunched over a mouse was taking its toll. I was happy to find this product and thought I would give it a try. It makes mousing much more comfortable and clicking much easier. However, over time these things turn ugly. They get dirty and some of the gel rubs off. Once they start wearing down a little more, I will still definitely buy another set!

Thick, feels good, but...
This feels good and is soft. Though if your mouse is not an average shaped mouse it may cause more problems. It is a massive dust magnet. It grabs lint and everything around. I have used this for about a month and looks to have been used for much much longer.Though it does say it is washable. For the price it is reasonable to try out.Very interesting, I would recommend it, at least to try out. It gives a very different feel than any mouse out there.

Great
I really like these, and the pain in my hand has definitely gotten a lot better. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is because the palm piece is starting to peel off and when it does I don't know how I'll go about getting it to stick again. It'll probably mean I have to buy a new set.
