JFK Jr.'s Last Flight. How it Went Tragically Wrong and Why

Really informative and easy read
There are so many conspiracy theories surrounding JFK Jr. and his death and whether he really died or faked his death etc. but when you read this book you will have no doubt that JFK went down with his plane. I'm not a pilot and have no experience in flying a small plane but the way the author explains the flight technicalities and weaves them into the story make easy to understand and follow. The book does feel like a Movie of the Week and is easy and to picture all the scenes in your head. I wasn't really looking for a book on JFK and not sure how I stumbled upon it but I'm glad I purchased it. If you are a pilot I am sure you will enjoy this book. Two Thumbs Up!!!

Very Interesting Read
This book was very interesting. I could not put it down and finished it in one days time. There was a lot of technical information in this book, but I feel the author did his best to make it understandable to people who don’t normally work in those fields, All in all a great book.

JFK Jr.'s last flight
I really enjoyed the author's story line. The technical description was such that a non-aviation experienced person could actually understand, and learn from it. I loved that! Then, the second part of the book was written for someone with more experience, making the whole book/concept an interesting read.My one and only critical comment is that there couldn't have been an editor that went over the book very carefully. There were places in the book where the grammer was bad - enough so that I had to re-read sentences and/or a whole paragraph to understand what the author was saying. But, I liked the book.

Good format for the information
I liked the book even though I already knew a lot of the information it was nice to read it from what might have been John's point of view. It was a good book and easy to understand what went wrong in the flight.

A lot of filler and no substance
This book is written in a novel style which seems to use a lot assumptions which may or may not be true. It seems more of a story about "Billy" and the trials and tribulations of a section of his life as he assists in determining what led to the JFK JR crash. It also seems that you are reading a B grade movie script. Very disappointing. It does include official reports of the crash which seems to be the only redeeming thing I can see about this book. I read the book two hours after receiving the kindle version from Amazon but I skipped through a lot of meaningless dialogue between "Billy" and other seemingly fictional persons.

Bad writing
Sorry, but though this book does have some interesting information it is impossible to believe any of it because the author chose to write this as he points out as a "movie of the week".He uses some actual facts, but he makes up dialogue that is just unreal, banal, and contrary to actual human interactions. He invents a "go team" that if it existed would have to be THE most unprofessional team of investigators ever gathered together, and makes some very cardboard cutout characters act as no human beings ever would specially pilots. It's embarrassing. Mixed in are some good descriptions of the confusion and problems a pilot can have when not instrument rated and flying into instrument weather. It's not totally bad, there are good descriptions here and there about the mindset and procedures a pilot has to handle, but there are some very unrealistic actions, as well as dumbing down of procedures actually used in flight. Very disappointing book. I'm not a hard critic, I love a good number of books a both flight but this was mostly a wast of time. The show "air crash investigations" did a much better and more interesting investigation on the tragic end to JFK Jr. And his last flight. This book is simple whenever it goes to the supposed dialogue and also when he makes his made up go team talk. Nobody acts like this. Bad writing.

Very analytical
It gives you a professional's view on what really happened and how. Tragic and could have been avoided.

Gelungene Schilderung der Ereignisse
Die Geschehnisse vom 16. Juli 1999 werden chronologisch detailliert beschrieben. Sehr gut zu lesen, informativ und sich strikt an den Fakten orientierend. Klare Empfehlung.

Gripping book
It gives you a good inside into that tragic event. Interesting construction of the book -first part is fiction based on the real investigators reports which make the second part of the book.

Nonsense
Both parts of this book were ridiculous. The useful content about the problems in the flight could have been summarized in a few pages. Just painful to read.
