The Ultimate Dinosaur Encyclopedia: The amazing visual guide to prehistoric creatures (Ultimate Encyclopedia, 1)

Fun book filled to the brim with dinosaur information as well as large eye popping 3D illustrations of said dinosaurs. Perhaps the most unique aspect of the book is that several pages feature Augmented Reality, or AR. In other words, once you download the free app, you can point your camera at the pages and videos will be pop up and be able to be played. Not only that, certain dinosaurs have a full model display that can be rotated and scaled up and down. That being said, I wish there were more theropod AR dinosaurs. Since I wasn't able to find this information anywhere else, dinosaurs with AR models are: Brachiosaurus Stegosaurus Allosaurus Archaeopteryx Pteranodon Parasaurolophus Pachycephalosaurus Dakotaraptor Ankylosaurus Quetzalcoatlus Triceratops I have also confirmed that the app works on a OnePlus Nord in the United States on March 2023.

My Grandson, loves this book and can’t put it down. He even wants to keep taking it to school, which his Mother has had to decline, so that it doesn’t become damaged. This book is filled with a lot of facts and pictures and the app is amazing.

Very good information on all sorts of dinosaurs

I bought this for my Dino loving son (2.5) and glad I took the chance. The app is easy to use, you just have to scan the pages with the entire page in view, not just the “scan here” icon. Once you scan the page you can move your phone and the dinosaur or video will still be available to use (as you can see in my photos). We’ve had this book about a week and will play/read it for hours at a time.

Bought this for my niece for Christmas. She really loved it. She really enjoys the app aspect of the book would recommend to anyone with a kid who loves dinosaurs.

I'm blown away by the augmented reality by using the app. This is a video in my kitchen. I can't wait for my nephews to play with/read this book. 10/10

The book itself is nice, but the main reason for ordering was the app. When I try to access app form my apple store I get a message that this app is not available in my area. I live in the US in the PA/DE area. I would not have purchased this item if I knew the app was not available. My son is 2 and loves dinosaurs. Since he can’t read, I thought this would be a great way for me to help him learn about the different Dinos. The book alone would be good for older kids.

I have read this cover to cover with my 5yo 3 times. He loves it!

My 4 year old grandson loves this book. He spends hours learning about the dinosaurs. The videos make it even more fun for him. I highly recommend this to any kid dinosaur enthusiasts out there.
