Meets My Needs
Repeated sprains weakened my ankles. A recent fibula fracture completely destroyed my stability. At first, I didn’t think this brace would do anything. It just felt weird. Your foot & ankle need a little time to get used to a brace. I set it aside and tried several other braces with straps etc that felt really stable but after an hour I had to take them off. Such a pain to get dressed. Such tight compression. Most did not fit comfortably inside any of my footwear. I wear a size 6 women’s shoe. Got the medium. Fits over my socks and into my knee high boots, several trainers and booties. I feel stability enough so that my ankles don’t hurt and I am not rolling them. If I work a day without wearing these I’ll be in pain midway through the following day and feel unstable walking so these work for my needs. They are stretchy enough to slip on and off over your sock without massive uncomfortable compression. Yet they feel supportive in and out of my shoes. Soft and comfortable I’d even say a tad cushy which is a good thing. No support ankle brace feels comfortable to me bare footed. It must fit over my sock.I probably could have fit into a small but that’s the problem. Size matters with this kind of a brace. Nice and snug might feel good and stable at first but it will eventually cut off circulation, cut into skin and hurt. You want to fit your thumb in comfortably around the heel opening and be able to move it around the heel, and a finger around the top part of the ankle, that’s when you know you have the right size. The in between part of this brace is what gives you the support and stability. Look at the stitching, support is in place on both sides of the ankle. My podiatrist snarled when he picked them up. I keep telling him what a difference they make. The lace up contraption he wants me to wear hurts terribly. It’s a foot girdle. Takes forever to get on and off. Ridiculous. When I put my shoes on over these braces it feels like two hands are gently supporting my ankles. That’s what I wanted what I needed. After work, I often have some pain and swelling from the fracture. There’s room in the top around the ankle to slip in a toe warmer to get the tissue warmed up to do some alphabet exercises. Not wild about the color. Would love this in a solid black. I wear one on each ankle and I hardly know they are there. I do know when they are not.An inch or two higher on the ankle would maybe give more support but the higher they are the tighter they feel in my experience. Senteq, make these in solid colors to match our socks!!Hand washing keeps them clean. Five star product for me but it took a few tryouts for my foot and ankle to get used to the feel so don’t give up too quickly.

Good brace!
UPDATE: (Original comments are below): - The company saw my review and complaints and within 24 hours, they contacted me saying they'd already submitted a refund AND sent out an updated version of the brace which might help the bottom seam issue. The replacement was sent at no cost, so I tried it and it does feel a lot better. The top is still very tight, but I have larger ankles - especially after I broke this one and the swelling just has not ever completely gone away. I will wind up snipping the top seam a little to make it more comfortable because the rest of the brace is very supportive. I will absolutely use this and feel that it is a good product. The sides help with the swelling and pain and feel comfortable around the foot. It can be easily worn under or over a sock and is thin enough to not interfere with the size or shape of my tennis shoes. I highly recommend this version, and both are made of high quality materials and craftsmanship.Thank you for caring about your customers!_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________Original Comments:There is a seam on the bottom, upper portion of the brace which Makes the brace painful to walk in. In addition, the top also is made where there is a "line" that will impress into one's skin.Furthermore - it cannot be returned. Super.

This product does not last.
New they worked well. They were strong and supple and I could do my Karate. Toe and heals kept naked as is the Karate way.But by the fifth use one was torn.Since I needed one for each foot, the one that is not torn is redundant. My other comment is that they were difficult to use, it took a while to figure out how to get then snug enough to do the job intended. For 5 uses they are expensive.

Not sure...**UPDATE))
Although I have a small foot (women's size 6 to 6 1/2) this was so tight on the areas by the top and by the toes that it cut into my foot badly. Now, I am not sure if it's the fault of the brace. I broke my ankle and even after 5 months it still swells quite a bit. So I couldn't wear it. I liked the support it gave around the ankle - it's what it did to my leg and foot. It dug in about an 1/8th of an inch. That was a medium.Since I can't determine if it's because of the swelling of my own foot - I didn't want to knock down too many stars. Trying to decide if I want to try a large.**If I could give the company Senteq a 10 star rating I would**I have changed my rating and review. It WAS my foot. Normally I would take a medium. However, my injury was very bad (see photo) and my foot and ankle still swell badly. My doctor says that will be likely for up to a year.I need support, but the medium was way too tight with the swelling. The large works well. Granted the medium would be more support, but right now it cuts into my foot. I still have the medium and if the swelling calms down I'll definitely use that one. For now the large is working well.Thank you again Senteq for your help. I'd tell most people to order the size the should take. In rare cases, like mine, that might not be what you need. However, for most I think the sizing guide is pretty accurate.

Works great under sock
Easy to put on and hand wash and hang dry. Whatever size you are, go down 2 sizes. That is what I did and it fit the best. For some of you maybe just one size down but I was near the borderline between sizes. If that is you then go down. 2. What is the worst thing. Then you return it and get the next size up. This way you have the best fit. Feels comfortable while shoe is on. I like this because now I don’t have to wear the ace bandage on the outside which was hard and a pain to do. This works so well so you don’t have to wrap a ace bandage. Great support. I even bought a second one. This way when it gets dirty. I have a clean one ready to go.

Size chart is useless. Measured according to instructions and it's way too big.
Can't use product because size chart is incorrect.

I measured my ankle whichAre rather large but then the item was loose in the foot area and didn’t give any support. They say you get a refund but the are charging me $6.09 to return . It should say that on their page. 😡
