Bird bath very sturdy and easy to assemble.water weighs it down.the fountain is easy to assemble but I may suggest almost too big for fountain.when you put on attachments the water sprinkles out onto surrounding ground.over time this might deplete the water depth? I also wasn't sure if the spray would be too much and scare off little birds.so opted to use without the filter attachments so it's bubbling up about 5cm. I'd use the attachments in a pond or bigger area.really pleased over all.yes it's plastic but has a nice finish.i didn't want a heavy stone bath I couldn't move to mow the lawn

Fortunately I know these bird baths aren't metal, so I ignored that bit of the description, though the gold finish is in my opinion very good and makes it look bright under the sun. The straws are fine at keeping the fountain in place, but I took note of the reviewer who put theirs in a dish and I have put mine into a redundant, round, mesh, bird feeding tray, which let's it sit still and looks better. There is a good choice of nozzles from pretty sprinkles to, my favourite, the sound of sploshing water. Bit of a fiddle fitting the little bird, but worth it.

Very light weight so not very sturdy. It’s good for the money and was easy to put together. It worked straight away. Only little but looks nice.

Bought this as a present, it's a lovely antique gold colour & looks amazing in their flower border. Be aware that the inexplicable plastic straws which come with the solar panel are spacers to stop it moving about in the bowl, I would recommend not using them & instead putting something like broken pottery under the panel to keep it in one place. The pump is amazingly strong & started spurting as soon as the bowl was taken outside on a very cloudy day, it was soon jetting water quite high & was great fun to watch. Even a rainstorm didn't stop it. There is an issue with water blowing away in breezy conditions, just means you need to go out with a watering can to refill the bowl every now & again. It is quite light but not to the extent you should need ballast except in a gale. The floating solar panel takes up a fair amount of the bowl but there is room for birdies to bathe & drink, & everyone loves watching a fountain don't they so it's a good talking point. Lovely purchase for the price.

It's very light so if a large bird lands on it, the whole thing goes over. The water seems to evaporate or spit out so the pump is left dry and noisy. Looks nice but not worth the money.

Absolutely brilliant bird bath. It is very light which is the only negative however once full with water it’s quite rigid and stable. It looks great in the garden but most importantly the birds absolutely love it! I have lots of tits Robins and other small birds who pop in for a drink, but I always know when the squirrels have been as it needs refilling 😆 Excellent birdbath great value for money. I will definitely recommend it.

Why did you choose this product over others?: I chose this as a birthday present for my wife as she wanted a reasonably sized birdbath for the garden. The added feature of the solar powered water fountain made this the ideal choice. However, the water feature has never worked, despite ensuring it was assembled correctly and exposed to plenty of sunshine as per the instructions provided (& to be fair we have been blessed with plenty of sunshine in recent weeks). I have tried contacting the vendor to a) check if there is some may be missing or b) if there is something they could do if it’s faulty; I’ve had zero response which is disappointing. I will be requesting a refund if I don’t here before the deadline.

Very easy to put together, looks lovely and very effective great value for money just need to keep topping up with water throughout the day
