Maple & Willow's Christmas Tree

My grandchildren loved the book. They have another book about Willow and Maple. Very cute stories.

My two granddaughters have loved their Maple & Willow books and were glad to have received this one in getting ready for Christmas.

Beautifully written Christmas story about two sisters whose care for one another overcome's obstacles. My granddaughters loved it. Beautiful illustrations too.

Maple and Willow are super excited that their family got rid of their fake tree this Christmas and are getting a real tree. The girls carefully select the perfect tree, but when they bring it home they quickly discover that Willow is allergic to the perfect tree. After expressing her disappointment, Maple eventually figures out a solution to the Christmas tree problem.This book is somewhat nostalgic for me. One of my younger sisters also discovered she was allergic to the family Christmas tree, though thankfully, only if she touched it so we didn't have to totally get rid of it. (Though that was discussed as I remember.) There's also a realistic situation of a sibling squabble in this, that is resolved lovingly. Overall, a sweet holiday story about siblings.

I love this series -- they are just the cutest books ever (especially because I have two little daughters who remind me so much of Maple and Willow). I have to say that I was somewhat disappointed in the story for this one. It was cute but felt kind of lacking for some reason. I don't think my girls would have been happy with a ladder for a tree which is what they end up with since one of the girls is allergic to a real tree and they threw away their artificial one. I think my girls won't like this ending - I anticipate a hundred questions about why they don't have a tree. Still, the artwork is lovely and the girls are still cute as buttons. I would still recommend this book and I will buy the next one too.

Love this sweet book! As an allergy Nurse I was in search of children's books to put in the waiting room to help our young patients deal with their allergies. This heartwarming story is a true winner! I believe the parents will appreciate it as much as the children will enjoy it. Thank you ! 😊👩‍⚕️

Really disappointing book. The plot is about a girl who is allergic to Christmas trees so her sister puts lights on a step ladder. Nothing in this plot evokes the Christmas spirit or magic.
