60" XL Series Kamado Charcoal Grill

According to Amazon, I am the first one to post a review of this kamado grill. Bottom line up front, this is a fantastic grill. I had been looking and doing a lot of research both on line and in the local area before making this purchase. I had been smoking on a smaller kamado cooker for the past four years with amazing results, but realized that space was becoming an issue. I knew I wanted an XL size cooker and considered the Vision, Primo, and BGE. After everything I watched and read, I decided the best value was this one. During my research however, it was difficult finding any reviews on this product. It is not even listed on the Vision Grills website. However there seems to be a big fan base on line for this brand.The pallet arrived yesterday and I have to tell you, it took the driver and myself everything we had to get it out of his truck. Be prepared, this is a massive package. The packaging on this grill was the absolute best I have ever seen. In the end, an entire bed of the pick up truck was FULL of cardboard that was later taken to the recycle center. Unless you have a heavy duty cart or dolly, you will need some help moving and lifting this during the assembly.Not having seen this in person, it is a bit difficult to tell exactly how this is put together. My first recommendation would be to have the casters be a bit bigger. I like to move my cooker around on my patio depending on weather conditions. This grilled rolled OK, but larger casters would be a big plus. You will see from the pictures of the grill, but actual cooker rests on top of a metal box. It is not attached in anyway so you are relying on weight and gravity to hold it in place, but when you roll the cooker to another location, it will slide somewhat on top of the base. My recommendation would be to add some sort of cushions inside the front two posts like there are on the back two posts. This will keep the grill secure. I should be clear and state that the cooker can not fall off of the base once completely assembled but it can slide around about 3/4" towards the front of the unit while it is being moved.Now the important part...the FOOD. The first meal was grilled shrimp and pineapple with grill asparagus. Amazing. The two level grate is an excellent addition and allows for grilling both meat and veggies at the same time. Excellent for baking potatoes for an hour prior to adding the steaks or burgers later. I will be making my own heat deflector hanger to put a large pizza stone because the reviews of the Vision product were not that great. I have not checked but I believe accessories from other brands may fit this grill. I will be smoking pork butts very soon but tonight it will be loaded up with ribs!!For Vision Grills, you all need to get this item on your website. It would be very informative to read about this product. For everyone else that is considering this grill, the grates are 22" in diameter and there is about 6" of space between the bottom and top grate which allows for plenty of room for smoking up to six pork butts at once. The overall height after fully assembled is about 46" and 64" wide. The shelves on each side do not drop after they are assembled, but the included cover works great. Internally, the ceramic fire bowl is almost 21" in diameter. Again, it would have been nice to get this info from the Vision Grill website.Overall this was a great purchase thru Amazon. Delivery was faster than expected and everything arrived without any damages. Give yourself about and hour to fully assemble this. The instructions were very simple. This grill is heavy duty and with the proper care should last me at least 10 years if not longer. I think if you shop around and do your homework, you will find that this is probably the best value on the market for this size grill.

I have had MANY grills over the past 46 plus years, and I finally have one that does it all WELL!The grill is well made and I love the electric coil starter, since I never liked using lighter fluid. I feel this will be the last grill I own.
