Star Wars: Darth Bane - Rule of Two

About Book : This was my first book from Star Wars Universe and I have read many now since then. As a fanboy who prefers stories related to Force/Jedi/Sith rather than other non-force wielding elements, this book was a treat. The book is very well-written and will grip you from Page one. It will give you a detailed and deeper understanding in the philosophy of Sith. There are many epic battles which will leave you awestruck, especially the Duel on Tython. There is so many concurrent story lines in the trilogy that will leave you begging for more, once the author switches from one to another. If you are a fan of Star Wars and want to branch out into books, I would recommend to start with this trilogy(or Thrawn Trilogy, but haven't read it yet. I have been told its epic)About Edition : I bought this edition from US and feel the paper quality is decent. Although I hold my books like a new born baby, I feel the binding is good enough to last a long time and you will not get a tear down the middle when you repeatedly open the book while reading.Any more burning questions you want answered? Asketh!Edit : Just complete Thrawn trilogy. I will recommend Bane trilogy over Thrawn one.

Darth Bane : Rule of IIThe Thrawn trilogy seems to have become the poster child of Star Wars books in the last few years. The Darth Bane trilogy more than holds its own and I would recommend it anyday. The Sith evolution has been traced and really fleshed out.Peace is a lie. There is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength. Through strength, I gain power. Through power, I gain victory. Through victory, my chains are broken. The Code of the SithThe code has been held throughout the series and in this book in particular. I loved Drew Karpyshyn’s style of writing. He makes you feel you are inside the head of the characters and you understand the decision making even if one doesnt agree with it.The reader feels like they are right in the world experiencing the hardship of become the true sith lord . Bane grows past his doubts and fears and becomes the true lord with unbending will , complete control of his power, complete conviction of his destiny to lead all the sith , the entire galaxy into the right way. The way of the Sith. His bond with Zannah who shows she has the cold steel within to become his apprentice is shown in depthJoshunn’s fight with the assassin to kill the chancellor is well written with enough details and description to not overwhelm you and at the same time is written well enough to draw you completely into the scene. I read the last few paragraphs literally with bated breath to see how it turns out.One of the talents of all of the best Star Wars writers is the ability to ground the characters and themes in settings which upon closer inspection mirror the aspirations , fears and lives of our world. Bane being covered in the obelisks is perfect mirror of his character being too blind in its own conviction to see reality and his desire to rid himself of this very armour is our own subconscious fight to grow past our failings. The arc was simply sublime.At the risk of repeating myself , a must read for all the fans out there !!

What a great book, this trilogy alone got me back into star wars after the sequel trilogy killed my love for the franchise. Great for learning how the rule of 2 came to be, great characters, very descriptive writing. Pick it up and you won't put it down until it's done.This book focuses more on training and the master/apprentice relationship, as well as Bane rediscovering long forgotten sith secrets

Just as expected in quality

La historia te manda a diferentes mundos y con diferentes personajes, con una linea que es fácil de seguir. Te encariñas de los personajes y conoces quienes son de verdad, lo cual te lleva a finales que te gusten o que te ponga triste por su curso.

Mi sono innamorato della saga dal primo libro. e non potevo non continuare la serie :)

Super interesante, la verdad. Me parece que está muy bien escrito, la historia tiene profundidad y el personaje, pese a ser malo, tiene mucho carisma y le coges cariño.
