It is a tad smelly to use, akin to a petrol type odour, depending on your mix strength.It is easily mixed as a solution with water, so, this bottle covers a good area. I put it in a spray bottle for use indoors.I spray it onto the base of our sliding door gullies to stop tiny gnats etc and mosquitos sneaking in.I use it along the perimiter of my house too, along the skirting, also along the paving to control ants etc outside.It seems to eliminate most common pests effectively.It certainly controls their numbers and puts them off entering through tiny spaces. Fewer, if any, gnats indoors this year.Used in conjunction with a plug in mosquito repellent it keeps them outside, rather than in my house biting me.Must be stored in a cool place.Permethrin 10%, seems as good as pest control services solutions.Seems to contain the ant population as well.Whilst I am not 100% bug free, 1 bug every now and then from opening the front door (I usually find them dead) is an acceptable level within my home!Finally free of pillbugs in the bathrooms too, after wiping /dabbing this mixture on the vent covers.Be careful not to use near pets, children, or, anyone pregnant.After spraying it is best to leave the home for a few hours due to the smell. Try using the weakest mix at first if you are sensitive.The instructions are thorough.Keeps cockroaches away too.Does not affect birds, but, keep away from fish.I hope it dissaudes the mayflies next year, since we got plagued with them this year.I am going to try a weak solution on my olive trees pots next, hoping to keep the gnats away.Also worked on those yellow/black millipeads in the garden.I try not to use it all over the garden, as I do not wish to kill all insects, just the pests that bite, around perimeter of the house to prevent them coming inside.Seems to be okay when diluted and sprayed onto cotton clothing, which is allowed to dry, then laundered, if you have any bugs hiding in the seams. I was misfortunate to have a biting gnat type bug get into my clothing when I took a trip abroad.I also used a weak solution on my mattress, as a precaution, so now I am bite free!4* simply due to the odour, which goes after a few days. Bug sprays leave residue and do not last as long, so this product is still worth it for me, alongside them.
