Shinkendo Tameshigiri

Strongly recommended for anybody who wants to perform Tameshigiri.Only comment is that some chapters could be more elaborate.

Another book by the sword master . If you want to try Tameshogiri, TRAIN with Sensei Obata or one of his sensei's. Don't try it on your own!There are chapters in various parts of the country and the world.

I may have all his books, most are signed and I got a few lessons and practices directly from the author (nuff said ?)

Obata-sensei's book on tameshigiri is a great tool for the beginner student (like me). It gives great insight into the history and purpose of tameshigiri in samurai world. This book details various cutting techniques from the most basic to advanced.The criticism (and it is a small one) is there should be more detailed explanations on cleaning swords after cutting, but this book should be in an every Japanese sword practitioner's library no matter what style you study!!!!

Das Buch ist gut dafür geeignet eine kleine Übersicht über diese Kampfkunst zubekommen.Es ist für eine begleitende Theorie Unterichtung neben dem Erlernen der Kunst ohne Alternative.

Shinkendo Tameshigiri: Die Schwertkampfkunst der Samusrai Ein sehr gutes und lehrreiches buch. Kann ich nur weiter empfehlen. Mir hat es was gebracht was mein trainig betrift !!!!!!!!
