MIUMI Salt & Pepper Mill Shakers Set of 2 - Premium Salt and Pepper grinder set, Adjustable and Easy To Use, Stainless Steel Top, Ceramic Rotor and a Thick Glass Body with Large Capacity (5.2" tall)

Bought this purely for function, size and economy a few weeks back. Fulfills all three. The two grinders in the box are identical but the clear glass lets you see what you are using. to use one takes off the 'air-tight seal' top which is easy to do --- one does not have to use force to take off or put on the top. Twisting the top half while holding upside down causes the grinding action. The action is good, and there is little force needed. In fact, it was so easily done that at first I was in doubt if anything was coming out, (the grind is very fine so hard to see). In fact, it grinds a pretty fair amount. Surprised because in the past I had bought salt and pepper from a grocery store already packaged in a throw-away grinder that was very very hard to turn; the top was very hard to fit on/take off, and stingy in the amount produced per turn so this item was a good surprise. Highly recommend it. Seen a lot of very fancy items listed here as well. Not sure just what one would need anything for that is so fancy. This is good enough for the job it is supposed to do.

Purchased the set of two 5.2 inch tall grinders in September 2018. We’re using one for peppercorns and the other one for Himalayan sea salt.Both units worked great right away, however, after a couple of months of use the grinder with the sea salt no longer worked. Disassembly of the grinder is fairly easy so I took it apart, cleaned out the salt crystals that were in the unit and then put everything back together. Still didn’t work.I contacted MIUMI direct from the “Contact” link on the miumilife.com website. Within days I received a response directing me to a YouTube video on how to disassemble and reassemble the grinder and asking that I verify all of the parts are installed.I reviewed the YouTube video and verified that all of the parts were there and replied back to MIUMI. I received a reply back, again within a day, requesting my Amazon order number, which I then provided.The very next day a replacement set was on its way to me.The new grinder works great right now but what really impressed me was their customer service. Don’t often find that dedication to customer satisfaction today.Highly recommend.

These grinders are awesome. I put sea salt in and it came out as fine as powder! They are made of a heavy glass, that even dropping may not break them (except on stone or ceramic flooring). The fittings are all tight and solid and the brushed stainless is very modern and attractive. The caps don't fall off while grinding, so if you want to grind a quantity and then use a pinch here or there, you can retrieve it right from the cap instead of grinding for every pinch while cooking or if you want to grind a different spice in the jar. There is even a recipe using several spices included on the instruction card! These are well packaged for shipping in recyclable materials (plastic sleeves/cardboard box). The package was received as promised in shipping details. They will fit in beautifully in my newly renovated kitchen and would make a lovely housewarming or other special occasion gift.

I leave my pepper grinder on the back of my stove so it's easy to reach during cooking.The pepper grinder I had previously, was perfect except that the base was plastic and over time it melted from the reflected heat off the stove. This glass mill was purchased was to replace that one.I'd say that I am very happy overall with this.The size is perfect - - - large enough reservoir so refilling is infrequent (even with daily use), small enough overall size so it sits nicely on the back edge of the range. The fact that it sits with the grinder on the top, means that grinds do not get on the stovetop.The adjustable grind is easy to control and adjust. The opening for refilling is large enough to make it easy to refill even without a funnel.My only complaint is that the grind is "loose" (no matter what the coarseness setting) . . . meaning that a few twists does not dispense as much pepper as my previous grinder did. Not a deal breaker; I prefer the feel of my other one so this one will just take some getting used to.

This is for the MIUMI Salt & Pepper Mill Shakers Set of 2 - Our ancient pepper mill had finally gone to its final reward. We wanted one that would hold more than just an ounce of pepper, so we don't have to constantly refill it. This pepper mill will hold a LOT of pepper corns. I'm just guessing but somewhere about 3 ounces, maybe more. I never measured. It is easy to refill and you can change the grind from super fine, to very course. When I need an exact measurement, I just grind the pepper INTO the lid. Then, I remove the lid and pour the pepper into a measuring spoon. Works great for me. I have not tried it on salt, yet, but a grinder is a grinder and these are well designed and easy to use. I would buy them again. They are solid and have a nice brushed stainless look at the top, so they would make a nice gift, too.

When I received this product and opened up the package to examine and test the mills, I noticed the grinding mechanism on one mill seemed to be slightly dysfunctional. It would not move as it should and I had to forcefully remove it and put it back into place in order to get it in the correct position. The other mill worked as it should. I sent off an email to the seller about this and they responded within one hour letting me know they placed an order for a new set and told me not to worry about returning the initial set. Customer service was extremely helpful and generous.The new set arrived quickly and both mills work perfectly; the grinding mechanisms are easily adjustable and it provides a nice range of fine-to-coarse grinding. The size of the container, in my opinion, is just right—not too small, not too large—so it holds a decent amount which doesn't require frequent refills and it fits nicely into your hand as you grind the mill. Definitely recommend this set.
