Q: What are the dimensions of this bookend? Height? Length?

The dimensions are: L: 4.25" inches each, W:2.75" inches each, the bookend have two different heights, one is H:5.5" inches front part of bicycle , and H: 4.5" inches back part of bicycle bookend.

Q: How “heavy/strong” are these? I have mostly hardcover books and want something large enough as well as heavy.

The item description says that they weigh 4.25 lbs. (the two together). I have not weighed them myself, but I believe this to be correct. They hold about 30 books on my bookshelf, at least ten of which are hardcover books. Some of the paperbacks they hold are thick/heavy. I have never had a problem with them. They are sturdy and attractive, and I would recommend them.
