As a pastel artist I was so frustrated with conventional ways of securing the pastel paper to a backer board for painting. Securing the paper to a coroplast board with painters tape was a workable option but not perfect. The tape tended to lose its stickiness often causing the paper to fall, sometimes while I was painting. I found this board and ordered some strong magnets. Since I mostly work on 9x12 paper the 11x17 size is perfect. The board fits nicely in my Handy Sandy cart (available on Amazon) so I can easily transport it to workshops or plein aire painting events. Not only does the board fit securely on my easel, it’s easy also easy to change out my paintings when working on several paintings at one time. While the magnets held my painting securely, the only negative was that the pastel dust accumulated around the top of the bottom magnets rather than fall away from the painting.

I am using this in my camper van so it goes through a small earthquake ( especally on rough back roads) when I drive. It holds magnetics STRONG. This is an issue with other board (yes I have tested them) . The thickness of the metal board has a direct affect on how well it holds magnetics. This board is very thick as compared to all the other magnetic board I have tried thus it holds thing rock solid. I also use it as a white board (though I like to use wet erase markers they clean up eaiser and stay put better before you decide to wash them off). I wish it came in 15 by 17 as I wanted to use one as a fold down shelf/table (yes it is strong enough for that). Super nice product.

Nice size for my small desk, better than using cork boards that either are too thin or hard as a rock.

I bought this for displaying the little magnets we got from traveling because our fridge is mostly non-magnetic (only on the side, but I also prefer a bare looking fridge), and I did not have time to create a large magnetic board (using paint). Likes: super magnetic (holds things well even the heavier ones, unless they have bad magnetic buttons), sturdy (it is a hard metal board unlike the impression I got from some comments), came with holes (very convenient, for me I just hook them onto some small nails), good white finish (for my purpose I prefer white over black). Cons. Nothing other than small (at this price if I had the time and tools, I would paint either a wall section or make a board, I would imagine trying to spray paint my board with strong magnetic paint first, maybe multiple layers, and then chalkboard paint on top for dual purposes, that’d be fun).

This is the third board I’ve bought. We hang them in our RV and collect magnet from the different places we visit. They come with a hole in each corner but I put them up with Alien tape.

Like many, I enjoy bringing home magnets from the places to which I've traveled. Like many, they usually end up somewhere on the fridge. And I'm willing to bet, like many, I've run out of room on the front and visible side of my fridge, but I still want to see the cool reminders of these trips whenever I walk into a room in my place. I figured there had to be something out there I could use in order to do so. Enter this magnetic board: it's well made, easily installed - just four screws - and made here in the USA. I ended up putting it in my bedroom, and it wonderfully displays magnets from Ireland, Scotland, England, and France. I was even able to hang a couple of the Xmas ornaments in the shape of the iconic pretzel from the Alsace region from the screw heads. :) Now I get to see these fun reminders of wonderful trips every day. I'll probably buy another as this one becomes filled.

I used 3M Command strips to adhere the board to the wall. The board is a great for travel magnets and its easy enough to cover up the screw holes if you're using 3M command strips. Note that the board is a very pale grey in colour.

Easy to install. Magnets stick well. I was pleasently surprised by the colour, it's more of a soft grey. I thought it would have a more metallic look to it.

I like the product and using it. It was delivered in a box with good packaging, but the edge was bent, looked like it was bent before it was packaged. Such a shame. I decided that it was too much hassle to return and I needed it, I decided to use it. It's a good product, so I hope the seller handles it with better care before packing it.
