Great picture, well made
This is a really nice unit. Well made and easy to use.THE MONITORThe 7 inch display is larger than the majority of infotainment displays in vehicles. It allows you to easily see the video feed from the camera. The monitor comes with a sturdy mounting bracket with double back tape so you place it anywhere inside the vehicle or a windshield mount to make it portable The menu is intuitive and easy to operate. Unlike other backup cameras I’ve used, the menu on this one is easy. One small problem I had was with the date display, no matter what I set it to the live feed still showed the YY/MM/DD format. It also has the ability to hook up another camera and view both channels at once which is a nice touch. It has two features that I don’t really see as necessary and will probably never use. One is motion detection and the other is saving video clips. For video clips it needs an SD card (not included) to save recordings.THE CAMERAThe 1080p camera is very nice and the picture quality is great. The camera has a wide field of view so you can see what is behind you well. It also has a night mode that switches the feed to black and white automatically. I was surprised how well I could see in the complete darkness. It far exceeds the backup camera built into my Silverado. The camera itself is quite heavy and is make well. I think this will be able to stand up to some abuse in the elements here in Minnesota.HARDWARE SETUPThe unit comes with everything you should need to hook it up and start using it. It comes with a 7 and a 13 meter video cable that could be combined to make it 20 meter to fit the largest of trailers or RV’s. It is a wired connection which has its pros and cons. For this to function a video cable has to be connected to the monitor to view video. For trailers I could see this might be a problem to make sure there are not pinch points while turning. It’s also more difficult to run the cable into the vehicle and make the entry point waterproof. The connection points screw together to make a solid connection. I’ve used wireless backup cameras in the past. Those work well too, but the camera has to be closer to the monitor. This unit can be placed on longer trailers without issues. I think the best fit for this unit is for an RV. It would be rather simple to hide the cable and you wouldn’t have to worry about pinch points or turning with trailers.Overall, this is a great unit that I’m sure will last many years.

This system is the best.
Out of the box it was easy to get setup and running. The two mounts are great. I used the bracket to mount this display on the top of our church bus beside the mirror. The bus has a flat section above the windshield that was perfect for it. The camera was mounted in the center of the rear storage compartment above the doors. I ran the cable inside the compartment and under the inside trim for the corner of the roof. This gave me a straight line to the front of the bus to the auxiliary power panel where I hid the cable and monitor wires inside these panels. I wired the power and ground wires to the auxiliary power strip and the main ground strip. Because of our rear storage space we don't have a rear window and need the camera to allow the driver to see behind the bus at all times. The 7 inch display gives a quick and easy view of traffic and other things that can't be seen through the side mirrors making it safer for the driver to operate the bus on all streets and open roads. This system is a must for a bus with the rear storage compartments. Before we had to have someone get off and go to the rear to watch and direct the driver to turn the bus around. This was a big problem for us because we use our bus to pickup our children and elderly people who don't drive to bring them to church on Sundays. As for the second camera I mounted it to the front roof of the bus to monitor the passengers incase of an incident happened that would require proof that the driver was paying attention to his job and not the passengers. In times like these it pays to have video when someone accuses you of not paying attention to your job. This camera was put in to give the driver protection incase of an incident. Also did I mention that the second camera was free. Because we purchased this unit we recieved our choice of a free gift. I chose the rear camera with night vision for this purpose because of not having lights at night to see inside the bus.Thank you for this great system, free camera, and for the great price.
