A solid choice for a solid pistol
I bought this training pistol to use when heading out for cosplay. Metal air-soft guns have been the norm for years in cosplay, with the recent tragedies around the county and world many conventions are going to no metal weapons allowed. After looking around on several different sites found this one and decided to take a chance. Was happily surprised in the quality of the pistol. The one star review that is on here may have read a different description then the one I read. No where in the description says the tip is supposed to come off. And frankly for training purposes I not for sure what difference it would even make if the tip comes off or not.The trigger guard is smaller than most real pistols. However I feel like it is a non-issue for me personally since the only time you should have your finger on the trigger is when you are going to shoot something. In cosplay, especially when in large groups out in public you never want your finger on the trigger.

Very effective and realistic tool
I use this tool during my Decision Making Drills training with armed church security personnel, it is a very effective tool and helps students develop situation awareness, and they come away from the training with much more appreciation for fast a situation can develop into a deadly force encounter. If you search for "Gentle Response Training" on Youtube, you'll find short promo videos of the training seminars my team and I have done.

Trigger Guard too small, BUT easily fixed...
I got this for martial arts training. Like other reviewers said trigger guard is too small, but just heat the guard up a little (careful not too hot) with blow dryer, and put like the butt end of a knife or something in there to stretch it out to be a little bigger, then cool it down in the fridge at 40 degrees or outside for an hour, problem solved. 4 stars because it should have arrived without this issue. otherwise, it is fine. Nice weight to it.

Good, cheap rubber gun.
This is a good, sturdy, rubber gun. It is perfect for simple training exercises. It is not a toy, and not intended for children. If you want a good gun for handgun training, consider spending a lot more money, in order to get one with a real trigger assembly and removable magazine. If you want a cheap fake gun for general self defense training, this will work fine.

Great for Karate / Self - Defense Training
This was purchased to practice defensive maneuvers and disarming techniques. My sons are second degree brown belts in American Kenpo and working through maneuvers that require disarming an attacker. I bought a rubber knife and this gun. The gun is perfect for their purpose.I saw several reviews about the trigger guard being too small ... for practicing self defense the last thing you want is your finger in that guard, it will be very painful if you do. Disarming involves very quick and decisive force that will break your finger, often your hand while dislodging the gun ... so do yourself a favor and stay off the trigger. Besides, the trigger is only ever used to shoot, who are you shooting with a fake gun??

Decent quality.
There very nice accept trigger guard is to small. I will make it work in training but they should have NOT made the trigger guard so small. What did you save by doing that.1 penny in making it. I would have gave you another dollar if it was done right. I have medium sized hands if you have big hands at all these wont be for you. Other then that very lifelike.

A bit grippy, but solid product
I got this as an extra training gun for the martial arts program I am in where we use a hard plastic gun. This one is has a really grippy texture to it which is great for the handle, but not for the slide portion of the pistol. It is good for the person holding it when practicing disarms. However, for the person doing the disarming, it is making it too easy for them to grip the gun. Therefore, I would say it is a good starter training weapon to give the person doing it some confidence, but once they have the muscle memory down, switch to something more "slippery" to correspond with a more real life situation.

Good quality
This is a good training prop. There isn't a trigger and the tip is bright red. It's pretty hefty. If you're purchasing this for a costume/cosplay, you might want to look at the plastic variety. The weight of this isn't a perk for that type of situation. Might be better off with plastic.
