Rubbermaid Commercial Products FG401088 Digital Food Service

I just received 3 of these scales for commercial shipping needs. We weigh packages from 1 to 40 lbs. to ship by any number of freight carriers. All three read 11.0 lbs without adjustment with 11 lbs worth of calibrated weights. (Also tested at 1, 5, and 6 lbs on the first scale and it passed all around.) Impressive! We'll see how they hold up, but on day 1 I like them. I do not see a way to calibrate them should the need arise. Also, we do have sturdy, flat tables where the scales will be sitting during use. The digital readout is not huge but will work for our needs.

Used this scale to weigh 131 boxes/containers for a shipment. Gave the movers my estimate based upon my numbers reached by using this scale and rounding up (increased by only 2%). After the moving company weighed it (using their expensive, calibrated equipment), their number was exactly what I estimated.

DO NOT BUY UNTIL RUBBERMAID IMPROVES CONTROLLikes: Easy to useDislikes: Display stopped working after just two weeks. When it powers on, it first shows the model number for a few seconds before zeroing out and ready to weigh. Now, after just two weeks of work, it only shows the model number in the display and never zeros out. The plastic control unit does feel really cheaply made. Most likely has a $1 board inside with crappy connections. If Rubbermaid is going to ask the high price they do for this scale, they need to invest a little more of their $$ into a more stable control unit.

My second Rubbermaid scale, the first one was the 400 lb, lasted over three years, replaced it with the 150 lb Rubbermaid, the 4110... quit at three months, however, I called Rubbermaid and they have a replacement on the way to me, so, hopefully I just got a lemon the second time, but seems to be great customer service....they are great when they work!
