Worked when nothing else did
Like the title said - whoever let replaced the oil filter tightened it with the glory of God. Had to basically crush the oil filter with these oil filter vice grins and it finally came loose enough to remove. Saved a trip to the mechanic.

Wish 8t was more sturdy feeling, works great.
Works great, it left a little to be desired as far as sturdiness goes.

Works!
I have a 2004 Toyota Highlander with the oil filter in the front of the engine. To reach it you have to come from the top of the engine, but it is tucked under the exhaust manifold and is difficult to get a grip on it. These pliers get the filter turning! Best oil filter tool I have ever used.

Well built pliers
I like the solid construction if the pliers. Did not like that the teeth on the pliers do nothing to grip the oil filter. It was not until the filter was crushed, did I get any purchase on the filter. Sharper teeth maybe and set in one direction maybe?

Came through in a desperate need!
Oil filter was ridiculously tight. Don’t know if the service from before over-tightened it, but there was no way I was getting anywhere with the strap wrench. So I only had to wait a little under 48 hours for it to arrive by Amazon Prime. It would have been a bad day if I failed. But after a battle, I eventually got it. Could not have done it without this fine tool. So worth it money wise. A definite step up from strap wrenches, but lesson learned about who to take the vehicle to for next oil change!
