Let us try to figure this out. The underlying principle of this device is as old as the invention of the trumpet or more to the point the hearing aids of a long forgotten time, which looked just like reversed trumpets. They are no longer around, which hinds to the fact, that technology has evolved. This said, the principle is a valid, but a limited one. There is nothing you can do to enhance the bad quality of your build-in loudspeakers (flat screen) other than adding a sound bar or a complete audio system. By simply reflecting the sound it does not get better.But here is what these little flaps can do. In my case I have a small guest bedroom with a wall mounted flat screen whose speakers reflect all the way down to the floor, as there is no space for a sideboard. The sound has to travel some mysterious ways until it reaches the ear of someone on the bed. In my experience the middle level of our hearing spectrum suffers the most on this journey. As a result, following conversations in a movie against a noisy background becomes very (very!) difficult. After installing the two reflectors I noticed a truly distinct improvement, which led to a significant reduction of the necessary loudspeaker amplification. Serious, this simple solution helped. Problem solved!But!! You have to try it out, if this is working for your situation. You also want to play around with the audio settings of your TV to maximize the effect. Chances are, that in a bigger room, with furniture under the TV the improvements are to negligible to verify. However, at 20 bucks what do you have to lose?

Actually works. I have no problem with paying $15 for such a simple item .... it's packaged with a commercial label, has an instruction sheet, Velcro tabs, and a couple of alcohol wipes for degreasing before installing the plastic reflectors. It takes only a few minutes to get these attached to the back of your television, so there's not much to it.Well, surprise, these things do exactly what they're supposed to do. They effectively redirect those lousy little downward facing TV speakers so the sound is directed forward, towards the viewer. That makes for a louder and clearer sound, although it doesn’t turn your TV into some super sound machine. You will still be limited by the quality of your speakers and the audio quality of the broadcast. Overall though, there is a noticeable improvement in the listening experience.As an aside, I have tried several sound bars over the years in an effort to improve the clarity of TV audio. While most will greatly improve the bass response and music quality, I have found none that really do much for speech clarity ... regardless of settings. This $15 plastic set does more for that aspect of TV sound than anything else I've yet tried. It's not a miracle, and it won't help much with really muffled audio, but it does offer a significant improvement over the typical stock speaker setup.

The "sound scoops" provided a modest improvement in the quality of sound, and particularly the higher/voice quality, coming out of our tv. I have the Sony Bravia 65" 4k TV which has speakers that point DOWN from the bottom of the frame. Importantly, my tv is sitting on top of a cabinet and not hung on the wall. That means the sound coming out of my speakers is aiming into the cabinet which sort of muffles the sound. Because the stand sticks out and because of its heighth, I cannot put a "soundbar" under the tv or in front of it. So the sound scoops are a workable option. To see if they were doing the job, when we got them we played a game of "are they in place or not in place?" Two of us listened with our eyes closed and guessed, while my wife moved them in and out of place six or seven times. We guessed correctly every time, meaning, we could tell the difference. It's noticeable, but not dramatic, otherwise, I would have given it four stars. They are also very simple pieces of curved plastic, which makes me feel like I overpaid for them. They're worth $15, not $25 or $35.

These things actually work. To hear dialog we had our TV up so loud we could hear it in every room in the house but still the dialog was hard to differentiate. I was searching for soundbars that enhance voice very expensive and so so reviews when I saw these things. I thought no way this will work but for $15 free 2 day ship try it. I have to tell you we are amazed. We were able to turn our vol. down from 65 to 30 and hear voices clearly! So if this is happening to you too and your TV speakers are on the bottom BUY THESE.I have a brand new, Christmas Last Year, Sony Bravia with speakers on the bottom how dumb is that. Our old soundbar was not compatible. We were using it as is. I adjusted the sound to every different setting available and everyday I heard "what did he say?" at least 10 times from my husband no matter what streaming service we were watching. I could not make out dialog very well either many times.

Amazing. I had expected boost in sound, but wow!Easily installed them with Velcro (comes with set) and made it simple to level them afterwards. (For visually perfect seekers) 😉It’s tripled the volume level and the sound is crystal clear, whereas before it had a muffled voice quality. I have a 4K smart curved tv, so it wasnt As if the tv speakers were bad. Or was because the sound waves were just going straight down to the floor and because we have carpet... The sound waves were being eaten up.Used to have volume level AT LEAST at 40 to hear tv - up to 80 or higher if there was any background noise.I love this product!!!I installed it in under 4 minutes. When I turned on the tv, with volume level at 16, it sounded like volume level was at 35-40!!Also important to mention that the sound was clear!! Voices heard perfectly. It cleaned up the quality of the sound also!Blown away! So simple, yet what an incredible difference!Product is brilliant.
