Well this fit rear facing in a jeep wrangler middle seat? Without having to move seats too far forward

If you have a buy buy baby store in your area, I suggest going to the store and trying it in your jeep. I had a Lincoln aviator at the time and it was a tight fit but now we have plenty of room in our expedition

Can you purchase an additional base for this car seat so you can use it in both mom and dads car?

No, unlike the infant car seats that have the base this is all 1 connected piece.

Does this rotate in forward facing mode as well?

No it doesn’t rotate when forward facing. A small disappointment but since they recommend kids stay rear-facing until age 2 now anyway it’s not that big of a deal.
