Works exactly as expected
These are much cheaper than Mercedes OEM and I am happy to report that they work perfectly for connecting a modern OBDII scanner via the round OBD port on older Mercedes cars and trucks.

Worked kind of for 97 sl320, some features were locked out though in my scanner

No different that plugging into the ODD@ under the dash
Got this with hopes of being able to read and reset the SRS on my Mercedes knowing that the 38 pin under the hood is the only way to access that code. I tried this with my reader and it could not access any more outputs than already available on the under dash OBD2 port. This is only useful if you have the 38 pin and do not have an OBD2.

Perfect for my Mercedes
Purchased this item to check OBDll codes on a 2002 Mercedes E55 AMG. It was shipped promptly and fit as expected. Great price, well made and no problems .

Good price, but wasn’t compatible
Bought to use on Mercedes. It didn’t work because the scan tool required their own model. Check vehicle compatibility because these round pin connectors aren’t necessarily universal.

Good Cable
The cable is well made. However, there are very little scanner that could use these cable for Benz before 2002.

Not compatible with iCarsoft MB v3.0.
Unable to detect any module other than the ECM when using the I car soft MB v3.0 even though it was a recommended purchase on AZ. I needed to purchase iCarsoft's 38 pin MB connector that had circuitry built in to allow it to communicate with the 8+ modules on the CAN.

診断機に繋いで診断すると、応答なしでおかしいと思いバラしてみたら、3本しか配線が繋がっていなかった。 こんな物で通信出来るはずもない。 何のための38ピンなのか？ 詐欺なのでは？

Learn the tool you need, this works great as an obd adapter
People expecting this to suddenly read all modules via an obd port clearly have no idea what they're doing. Worked great for my jspec e55 with no obdii protocol. Enabled me to read codes and some live data with a simple android app and obdii dongle.

使えない
メルセデス・ベンツ38ピンコネクターに対応。38ピンの診断コネクターを備えたすべてのメルセデスベンツ車両で動作します。と記載されていますが1996年式W210には使えません。ODBⅡ側の16ピンから3本しか配線がなくPin7、Pin15 Must have表示が出て何一つデートを拾うことが出来ません。
