Islanders Women's Ultrabraid Lg Brim Visor

My original review of this visor in Aqua was 5*, titled "Combine with a bike helmet to complete the urban look", with a link to my review of the helmet at http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AFEO99Y/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1#customerReviewsSince I liked the one in Aqua (sold by Cambridge Select & fulfilled by Amazon) so much, I came back and ordered the same thing in White (sold by Quest Sweet, also fulfilled by Amazon). At least I *thought* it was the same thing...When I received the one in White, it was obvious that it's an el cheapo SUBSTITUTE with much wider brim, no San Diego Hat label, no cleaning instructions, had multiple dirt/discolor specks on it, while the 'label' says 100% paper instead of 75% paper/25% polyester as shown in this listing.Thinking that maybe it was a 'fluke', I decided to order the exact same thing in White again "just to see", once again sold by Quest Sweet and fulfilled by Amazon. And yep, my sneaking suspicion was confirmed.It just so happened that I had also ordered a similar & cheaper item in Red from XWTECH in China, which arrived a week earlier than estimated and on the same day as the (2nd) White sold by Quest Sweet. A side-by-side comparison of all 3 (the authentic SD Hat visor in Aqua / the cheap substitute in White at SD Hat prices / the cheaper in Red from China) shows the White and the Red to be exactly the same make, each with a big bow that the authentic SD Hat visor in Aqua did not come with. (Please see attached photo.)All in all, DO be careful and check out seller reviews before ordering this visor. But if you don't care about the SD Hat quality and/or if you prefer having a big bow in the back, I would suggest doing a search *without* specifying "San Diego Hat", and pay the appropriate price for an imitation with lesser quality.Whatever you do, I only hope you don't end up paying SD Hat prices for a counterfeit as I did!

I LOVE these hats. I purchased 2, my only complaint is the black speckled one has pink and blue in that you cant see from the pictures. I considered returning it but I actually like it. The brown one is as described. Fits perfectly; the picture doesn't do them justice and it looks larger in the pic than It is.

I love this visor hat thing! I bought this on impulse this summer after realizing that I needed some face protection from the sun while at the pool with my toddler. I wear this right into the water with my kiddo and it's held up so far despite the chlorine!My favorite part about it is that it protects my hair from the water a little bit. My hair is long and curly and somewhat high-maintenance. I have been trying to find a way to keep it dry so that I don't have to do a full wash routine after every trip to the pool, while I still want to get in the water and play with my kid. I've given up on swim caps. But I was pleasantly surprised by this! I put my hair into a topknot and this hat over the top, and the brim provides some splash protection! As long as I don't go under or really jump around, my hair can still be mostly dry afterwards. I like having that flexibility.I have a giant lady head and this is big enough for me. It wraps around with velcro tabs at the back, and there's still enough space that a larger head than mine could wear it. And it rolls up with a little elastic loop to fit around it, which is perfect for the pool bag.All in all, I love this hat and I'm glad I got it!

A little silly, but I'm a fan!

Okay so I ordered this hat in the honey color. I'm going to rate only on the hat itself. It came in quickly, the hat looks to be good quality material and it came with a tag sewn inside the hat that says San Diego, so it seemed genuine. The only problem I have with the hat itself, is it was a little bit large for my head, and the velcro sticks to my hair when I take it off. Now as far as the way I look in the hat, I don't know if it's because I just cannot rock this kind of hat or what, but I feel like I look like a total dork. Maybe some of the other colors have a little more wave? This just sits kind of straight brimmed around my head and makes my round face look even fatter. I probably will keep and use when I'm in the garden, but not out in public.

I have had San Diego Hat Company hats in the past, and still have and use them (10 plus years and still using them).I pretty much can't go outside without a brimmed hat on, and my preference is the wide brimmed ones. but where do I put it while I'm dinning in a restaurant or etc, wide brimmed hats take up quite a bit of space to set them down, but this one rolls up.And fits in a bag or purse or... luggage.I love that it rolls up for traveling.And I like that the top has the hole. Because sometimes I need to put my hair up but then hats don't fit... this one does.The quality is great. And it works very well. You can bend and angle it as needed and it holds up well.

NOTHING fits over my big hair! And as I am getting older, it is super important for me to protect my face from the intense sun.This does it all PLUS it is CUTE! So Stylish! So easy to put on. It is perfect in every way!Did I say it was CUTE?!!So darn cute, I bought one in Red too!!! Gorgeous!

This hat is so convenient and is great quality. Would definitely recommend. Love how it rolls up for easy packing but when unrolled it holds its shape perfectly. I often wear my hair in a bun, so this visor is perfect to shade your face from the sun while still being able to put your hair up. It also adjusts to any head size.

Great product and value for money

I wasn't sure if I would like this hat but it turns out to be the most packable, sturdy and attractive sunhat I've bought in a while!! Just took it in my carry on down south and it holds its shape and tucks away easily. No more big awkward sunhats on my lap when i fly!! I got the plain one thinking I wanted it to go with everything and it does!

Es una visera que se pude enrollar sin problema, se ajusta perfecto a la cabeza mediante velcro. Lo puedes traer en el bolso o maleta sin problema de que se maltrate. Cubre bien la cara, de tamaño perfecto. Lo super recomiendo.

What a great product. Fits great, folds nicely compact so that I can throw in a beach bag or luggage, and most importantly can wear with a top knot or pony. I don’t know why I didn’t purchase this sooner. I have very long hair so I have to always wear it down with regular beach hats, but this solves that problem. 4 stars because the black color faded a bit after wearing it for only two weeks in the sun

I have a small head - hats never seem to fit me, so I was pretty nervous buying this hat. Turns out I shouldn't have been! It adjusts small enough to just fit my head. I love the look of it as well - the perfect floppy hat. Bonus that it rolls up super small for travelling and I can wear my hair in a high ponytail with the hat on.

He tenido este tipo de sombreros enrorrables y pense que todos eran del mismo tamaño, este en especial es mas corto que los demas, los otros que tengo tienen un ala de 12.5cm, este modelo tiene un ala de 10cm, si bien es un buen ancho para protegerse del sol, para mi se queda corto.

Just took this for two weeks in Brazil and loved it. Rolls up small but easily bends back into shape. Rim width is just right, big enough to shade your face but but so big that it gets floppy. One fellow traveller called me the movie star when I wore this ;)

Don’t have to smoosh my messy bun! Size adjusts easily. Rolls up to fit in my purse for ease of travel.
