Great Tracker - works perfectly with iPhone without any need for downloads.
Brilliant Tracker - has a hole to go directly on a keyring (unlike Apple Airtags, which require a separately purchased holder). Loud beeper (louder than the Apple version), and long Bluetooth range (seems greater than the Apple version). Having said which, I also have Apple Air Tags, which have one feature not available on the Chipolo ONE Spot: a close-range direction finder where your iPhone (running the built-in "Find My" app) points directly towards your tag, and tells you how many feet / metres away it is. For me, the loud beeper on the Chipolo means I don't really miss this otherwise cool Air Tag trick. Highly recommended - I have two Chipolos, one on my house keys and the other on my car keys. I also have 5 Air Tags, each in a difference bag or case (suitcases, laptop case, grab bag, etc). Happy with both trackers, and would not hesitate to buy more of either.

it works
I charge my iPhone in QuickTime. I was very pleased and it’ll save me messing about in future. Highly recommend.

Very good but battery life issue
I bought two Chipolos. One is for my Ebike, so that I have a chance of recovering it if it’s stolen. It fits perfectly inside the seat and because the Chipolo sounder is quite loud, it’s still possible to hear it. This first one gets a 5 out 5 stars, but the second Chipolo hasn’t faired quite as well and I appreciate I could be asking too much from it. I bought it to use on my dog’s collar. We’re not naïve and realise if anyone stole the dog they’d probably immediately throw away the collar, but it looks a little bit like a name tag, so might not get immediate attention. The main reason for it is in case she goes wandering… it just gives us an extra chance of finding her. The negative is the battery life which for some reason only lasted 3 months on this one. The water proofing wasn’t quite good enough to be ‘dog proof’ and I did have to take the cover off the Chipolo at about 6 weeks and clean the battery (it had stopped working). This water/damp ingress could have contributed to the poor battery life. I’m going to experiment with some silicone sealant as I’m sure that will massively help, but ruin the warranty of course… A bit more waterproofing and I’d have given these 5 stars.

It Does Work Very Well
The one thing this does not not have is ultra wideband tracking which is where the Airtags have a very good advantage. The problem is, if your iPhone does not support ultra wideband tracking, there is no advantage. It also does not have NFC which just means Android phones will not be able to scan the Chipolo in lost mode but iPhones can through the app. To set it up you simply put the find me app into device search mode and press on the Chipolo in the middle of the disc and follow the on screen instructions and that’s it. The alarm is quite a bit louder and it doesn’t cut off after 5 seconds unlike the Airtag. I would say both the Airtag and Chipolo are very useful depending on which iPhone you have, but for me, because I have the latest iPhone SE, I find the Chipolo is more suitable because my iPhone does not support ultra wideband tracking, therefor I have to rely more on the alarm which the Chipolo does have quite an advantage over the Airtag. Overall the choice is quite simple. If you have ultra wideband tracking on your iPhone, the Airtag is a lot more suitable but if it doesn’t, the Chipolo in my opinion has to be a much better option because of it’s alarm which is what you have to rely on.

Not timely, and not safe to use for pets.
Every time we’ve needed it it has failed. The battery doesn’t last long enough for it to be practical; six months max. Advertised battery life no doubt from lab conditions or data estimate. Locating - would only show location more than 10 minutes ago, which if your trying to find a lost dog is no use at all. Lost mode doesn’t work effectively. If you’re lucky you’ll get a text message about an hour after you’ve already found the tag. Play sound only works if you’re very close to the tag and have been for at least 10-15 mins. The only application is to find your list keys in your house where you are with good wifi. Anything else it’s useless. Just get a key bowl/key hook and keep your keys there, it’s cheaper and doesn’t need batteries :)

Expensive tag (like the competition) with limited application for many.
This paired well with my iphone 8 plus and has a very good alarm to help locating the lost item. But I confess I remain pretty underwhelmed at this cost. In the ideal world I'd have one for my each of my 2 main bags, something for my wallet like the card version and maybe the same for my phone (It connects to my iPad too!) plus keys. But am I seriously ging to spend £150 or so on these when given my bandwidth I have to rely solely on sound? It's fine: I got one for free and I'm glad I did and that they save me a few minutes to find the keys I've put down somewhere, but for this money I'd need more than just an aid to find something that careful looking would find anyway.

Worked for 10 weeks, but then...
It could have been just a bad item. Worked wonderfully for first two months. Install was easy and everything was satisfactory. However, it suddendly stopped working, even though battery was OK, Full reset responded with the responding OK beep, but I was no longer able to pair the device.

Nice and loud. App is easy to use. Had it working in minutes. Cheaper and better than Tile in my opinion.

Simple and effective device for my forgetful nature! I am someone who loses my keys and bag constantly... so this thing has been amazing for me so far and the fact that it works with find my is just awesome. Changed from buying tiles that never rang or constantly said they were lost and could not be found even if they were on the desk right next to me.. NO MORE! Switched to using a airtag which is great but the sound is not exactly ideal but it works... Saw this as I was trying to figure out if I could get my airtag to beep louder or longer... it however cannot but I still love it. I had to try this chipolo spot out to see if it was better and omg! it is great if you prefer beeping to find your keys or other valuable things like me. The beeping lasts til you find it and it is definitely loud. Comes with a hole to attach to your keychain without buying another accessory. Whats not to love? So far not issues AT ALL! Still deciding? If you use apple products just buy this! thank me later.
