This is a simple necessity for any cyclist who cherishes a clean training environment. The Kinetic Trainer Mat keeps floors clean and sweat-free and reduces vibration. Durable closed-cell PVC foam means it will stand up to even the most intense training sessions. Dimensions: 36" x 78"

Overpriced, poor quality, do not buy!
Overpriced, mediocre quality, do not waste your money. I had purchased two of these. After only 2 months of being on the ground (concrete floor), with a training bike on one and a treadmill on the other, the areas where the equipment rests on the mat were completely stuck to the floor and had to be peeled off. The mats were damaged and the floor had black marks.

Good Mat, except if you use pedal cleats
Great mat! Very light for the size, thick enough to absorb the vibration and avoid noise and just the right size for the Kinetic Road Machine 2.0 Fluid Trainer. The surface is rugged, but soft and not slippery. You can roll it and when you unroll it stays flat immediately. It does not stink, like some rubber mats do.** Update: After using it for about 20 times, the pedal cleat from my left bike shoe made a hole in it. When I leave the bike, I have to step on the mat and twist. I know this will be hard on any mat, but since many people will be doing the exact same thing, I would expect better durability on that area, so I am removing one star for that. I would advise people with pedal cleats to reinforce the dismounting area with a harder material.

Nicely sized for bike+trainer
I was previously using a pair of large towels. I have no idea why I didn't get a mat before now. It's a big step up both cosmetically and functionally to my previous ad hoc DIY. I don't know if this mat is better or worse than other mats. However, the size is perfect for a bicycle on a trainer. It could perhaps be a tiny bit shorter and narrower (5"?), but the extra space helps permit standing next to the bike to dis/mount and thus keep bike cleats from ruining the floor. Here are some things I noticed:* looks MUCH better than towels* no twist or creep from a ride* zero sweat absorption (it pools)* thick enough to protect hardwood from cleats* firm & thin enough to not feel any rock or wiggle* no discernible difference in sound* space to mount & dismount on sidesBTW, while I couldn't tell any difference in the sound while riding, I'm hoping it reduces transmission via the hardwood floor to neighbors.

Ride It Hard!
As others have mentioned, the mat is on the thin side & appears delicate, but I have not had an issue with tears or rips. I wear my SPDs on the mat but I am cautious while standing. It took a couple of days for the mat to fully relax and the mat seems resilient. I have moved my trainer after a week of sitting, and the indentations did subside after time. I did NOT notice any chemical smell nor would that deter me. Rather a slight chemical or rubber smell than that of sweat and armpit. This mat does an OK job at absorbing sound, but again, it is not the thickest thing out there. Cleaning is great! A Clorox wipe (or 2) & you’re done. The non porous material does not absorb sweat or odor. Definitely worth a try.

Keeps my Wahoo KICKR + KICKR Climb from sliding around
I have a Wahoo KICKR + KICKR Climb indoor trainer setup, sitting on a concrete floor. It feels perfectly stable, but I noticed when I'm doing rides where the KICKR Climb is moving a lot (like riding up a long climb in Zwift where it's routinely moving the front of the bike up and down) it causes the whole setup to creep forward, which was annoying because it would then run into my laptop stand and I'd have to jump off and slide everything back.I was skeptical this would fix it if it were just a yoga mat kind of material. But this is great - it's thick and has a sort of weird memory-foam-esque quality to the heavy rubber, where things sink into it and leave imprints. I think that really helped - it means the back-wheel KICKR can't just slowly creep forward. Totally fixed the problem.

Nice bike pad that doubles as scratch pad for cats
I'm not sure whether I like this pad more than my cats but we all use it about as much. The surface grips my kinetic trainer well and keeps it in place with no problems. I also have the Kinetic riser which I recommend. This product has two thumbs up from me and two paws up from all my kitty cats, so it must be good. :)

Very happy with the mat as it also collects any perspiration ...
I use my mat with a fluid Kinetic trainer on my bike, which i have in my kitchen. I have downstairs neighbors, but they have never complained. The weight of myself (175 Lbs. ) and my bike cause a little bit of an indentation on the mat, but every few weeks i just change the position of the trainer and the mat indentations pop back into place. Very happy with the mat as it also collects any perspiration during my training. Nice looking mat.

This mat is not 1/2" thick as the product description states
I purchased this mat because I was looking soomething a little more substantial than the 1/4" mat that i've had for years. I live in a second floor condo and i'm sure sound transmits through the floor.I purchased this mat because the text of the description said 1/2" thick. The mat is actually around 1/4" thick much like the mat I previously used. This is my primary issue with the product. In addition to this while the bottom layer feels like it's good quality the top layer seems like it would tear fairly easily if you weren't careful. quite honestly for $60 I expected a significant upgrade compared with a mat costing $35. I will be returning this mat.

Good mat.
A very good quality mat. Acts as a noise barrier between the turbo trainer and my wooden floor although you still get the noise from the fluid unit. Indentations are left in the mat by the weight of human body and turbo trainer but once the TT is taken off the mat the indentations disappear after about half an hour. I don't have any problems with sweat but that is probably because I put a large towel down on top of the mat. This is down to sheer habit and is purely personal. The only slight gripe is that I think it is a bit expensive. Again, purely personal.

Perfect for a turbo trainer.
Bought for himself to train on as he insists on training in the spare bedroom which has quality deep pile carpet. Carpet is protected and it seems to absorb some noise so I’m happy. He’s happy as there’s plenty of mat around him to catch sweat and leave room for the fan and iPad stand he uses for his training app.

Does the job.
Excellent for turbo trainer use; dampens decibel level; easy to clean.

BF loves it!
Bought for BF using the Turbo every day. He loves it and after nearly a year of daily use is still perfect.
