This oil is comparable to Do Terra's On Guard, but it is not the exact same blend. On Guard uses Orange Peel oil, while this uses Lemon oil. Both have similar effects, so I feel that this is a great replacement for Do Terra's expensive oil. The scent is a bit different than On Guard (the clove and cinnamon is stronger), but I think it smells better.With On Guard, I often apply it directly to my skin, but with this, you should always dilute with a carrier oil (I use coconut oil). Even when applying to the bottom of the feet. It is much stronger, so keep that in mind, especially when applying to children, which I honestly wouldn't recommend, unless it is heavily diluted.When diffusing, I feel that the fumes are more beneficial for treating cold/flu than On Guard. I feel that they work better because they are more potent.Some uses for this oil that I have tried areoil pulling: I use 1 - 1.5 tbs of coconut oil with ONE drop of this oil. Anything more would be way too strong. Swish the oil around in the mouth for 15 minutes then spit. Works well for cold and flu symptoms. Totally took all of mine away.all-purpose cleaner: 20 drops of this oil, 1 cup distilled water and 1/2 cup white vinegar (be sure to store it in a glass bottle, as EO can erode plastics. I find that this oil works better than On Guard for cleaner because it has lemon over orange, and lemon is a better cleaning agent!diffusing: I put 6 drops of this oil and diffuse it overnight by the bedside at the first signs of a cold, and I usually feel loads better in the morning.In all, this is a very versatile oil that is as good as or better than Do Terra's On Guard. I will be switching to this oil from now on because of the price.

So, I'm a big Young Living fan, but not so much a fan of the prices. I could make the traditional four thieves blend on my own, but let's be honest: I have a job & am a little too lazy to do so. Over the past year or so, I feel like I've tried every other variation of knock-off four thieves, only to be disappointed/bombarded with foul odours/chemicals, and general disappointment in quality.Earth Shield honestly swept me off my feet. The formula smells exactly as a traditional thieves formula should, the oils seem of high quality, a little goes a long way with this little one (which is why I am certain the oils are of high quality), there are no carrier oils present, and it smells divine, just as it should. The packaging is neat & tidy, the in-bottle dropper actually works (!) and it's sweet that Earth Shield included a roller-ball jar if you wanted to put a few drops in some carrier oil to make a carry-around scent.In all, if you're looking for something that has the high standards of YL's Thieves, but doesn't have the hefty price, this is an amazing buy and well worth your time. Although I couldn't find the certifications for the authenticity of each ingredient, I feel confident that everything is high quality at worst. I'll probably buy this from here on out because it's easier to get (thanks, Amazon Prime!). As a side note: the bottle was wrapped and tucked up like a newborn, no fears of spills or breakage.

I can't compare this brand to any other because it's the first time I've used Thieves essential oil. But I can give you anecdote of how it killed an infection lickety-split.My wife was diagnosed with a virus and a mold infection, both of which had lodged in her sinus cavities (we use a Naturopath). We used Grapefruit seed extract liquid ( Nutribiotic Gse Liquid Concentrate, 2 Fluid Ounce ) to kill the mold and virus (about 2-3 drops and a pinch of salt in one of those little plastic spray inhaler bottles filled with water). She felt a lot better the next day, and the nearly unbearable pressure in her ears had disappeared overnight.However, the infection had moved into her mouth, and especially into a tooth that had received a root canal years before. Our Naturopath recommended we mix a dropperful of Golden Seal and a dropperful of Myrrh in a tablespoon or two of coconut oil, and when combined mix in a few drops of Thieves. My wife placed this paste on the tooth and around the gums several times that day. The next day the tooth pain had subsided, and the following day it was completely gone.She continued the spray and the nasal spray and the coconut oil paste for a few more days... just to be sure.

I like this product. Similar to Theives brand (clean spicy smell) and much less expensive. It is not quite as complex as Theives which is still my favorite but for the price, it is a good value. Also I like the little glass roll-on bottle. It takes a minute to get it started -- get the oil to lubricate the roll, but then it works well. I see these bottles sold separately at Whole Foods and online so it is a decent bonus and it makes it more likely I will use the oil more often.

This is just as good as the Thieves from Young Living but less expensive. I also find it has slightly more cinnamon in it, which I just love. I was visiting family recently and everyone came down with a bug of some kind. I was glad I had brought my Gang of Five along because I never got ill the week I was with them. I will buy again.

I love trying different variations of the germ fighting oils. I was excited to find this to compare it to other brands. I find it to have a terrific cinnamon, clove smell comparable to more expensive brands of oils. I will definitely recommend this product to others for cleaning and diffusing purposes for a healthier home. Shipping was fast!! This is not a prime item , so I was surprised at how fast I received it.
