Decorative natural gas fireplaces are nice. Pretty. They do need to be "beefed up" every several years. This is a good option. I recommend hose washing it off and draining before putting it in fireplace with fake embers.

So glad I bought this. I just installed a new gas log set and this made it look so much more realistic. Easy to use. Just put in the logs. Works well and no real dust. Highly recommend.

Well, they’re rocks. I combined them with two other bags of different sizes to fill in my fireplace under my electric logs. They look like black rocks, which was what I wanted. Oh, they do make a mess when installing them. Wear gloves and prepare to wipe the hearth after installation.

I was expecting some variation in rock size (bigger 1/2inch), but bag was mostly 1/4inch pieces. Still looks good and plenty of coverage in fireplace pan.

These lava rocks give my old tired fire logs a fresh look! Perfect size rocks for spreading to the base and so much cheaper than going to the local hardware store.

Great product, there is PLENTY of rock in this one bag. Just what I needed to add some realistic features to my gas fireplace!
