Great book for young children
Got this for the youngest grandson when he was going on 2. This book easily helped him learn colors and even identify the word associated with the color!HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK FOR YOUNG CHILDREN!!!

So fun to read!
I love this series of books! From the handwriting, to the messages, to the drawings - it's so much fun to read! I find myself changing my voice with each color character - just for the heck of it - and my grandkids get a kick out of it. But I'm not sure who loves these books more - them or me. I recommend them highly to adults who find most storybooks hard to identify with - these are truly entertaining!

Enjoyable.
Using parts of the original story found in The Day the Crayons Quit, Daywalt and Jeffers introduce young children to their colors. Each crayon is introduced along with the things they have colored (red has colored Santa, strawberries, hearts, apples, and a fire engine. The inclusion of questions throughout the story give parent and child opportunities to talk about what's happening in the book. And the final page includes all the colors in one big picture, giving the child a chance to identify the different colors. This makes for a delightful introduction to both crayons and colors and the possibilities of both.

It’s amazing and you’ll love it.
We found this at the library and had to have a copy ourselves. I laugh out loud every time we read it and love how simply creative the illustrations are. It’s wonderful - my favorite “color identification” book out here.

Cute Book for Little Ones
This is a fun little spinoff of the original, The Day the Crayons Quit. We bought the full length book for my daughter, and this one for her younger brother, and both kids enjoy both books. This is the shorter, condensed version, and it teaches kids about colors, different objects of those colors, and gives an opportunity to teach kids that not everything has to be a specific color (like pink isn't only for princesses). This is a cute little book with good illustrations, but make sure you also check out the full length version.

A lovely book to teach colours
My daughter and I love to read this book together. It is a fun way to learn colours and the board book makes it easy for little fingers to turn the pages.
